Saying you're an engineer is really really unspecific. It's a catch all term and there are thousands upon thousands of possible jobs that you might actually have.
Few engineers become rich, a significant amount have a very decent salary.
Also, going into oil as an engineer is unspecific. The money you'll make depends on what you can be doing. As the Scandinavian countries push out tens of thousands of masters engineers every year, it's extremely logical to realise that very few, in fact, become rich.
if I work for 40 years where I am now, my retirement 401K should have about 2.4 million in it.
That's still relative to the job you actually have, not knowing at all what a 401K is I assume that 2,4million is good, so I assume you have a good job.
Being a bio-medical engineer doesn't make you rich.
It makes you suck at relationships. BRB. Throwing second shoe.
I asked him how he feels about the relationship and bring up my concerns. I specifically ask about his feelings and thoughts, and he instead he makes it about me. I know where I stand. I don't need him questioning where I stand, because I've made it clear. I want to know his position.

401K is a retirement account
you put money in tax defered and get to take it out when you retire.
I am happy with what I make right now, considering I'm still young and only have a high school diploma.
If I make more in the future that would be awesome, but I can very much live off this.
That's actually kind of a weird thought. I mean aside from vicariously motivated delusions of grandeur, parents mainly just care that you make enough money to live at a job that doesn't involve sucking dick.
So I mean at this point the rest is just sorta icing on the cake.
Granted I would need more money if I were to have kids and whatnot.

Oh then we do have a similar system. I don't know a lot about it though since it's pretty automatic and I haven't worked for very long.

shoeyos
Ah.
That makes much more sense.
You young whippersnapper. And you'll never be as old as Will.
That was pretty nice.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
Well, my original intention was to bring up Budweiser to open up discussion of better beers.
But now we're just talking about Budweiser.
I guess we should be adjusting for cost of living huh
honestly
who throws a shoe?
where my vocals at?
I won't lie, I had quite a bit of expendable income that year and made a lot of progress on my financial goals.
But yeah, my cost of living is way too high. $65k is my break-even point.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
How bout that bank job, Abd?
Yeah, I make $40k in Richmond, VA... but in DC that would be closer to $55-60k
BRB. Changing my Facebook status. Problem "solved."

I don't have no bank job
I don't have an education yet
but working in a bank
or the national bank, or the bureau of statistics is what I want
from meeting people with the education I want to take it seems like all of them touch these bases
Single now?

Tsssssssss
I actually meant robbing a bank.
This [chat] is far too much income and not enough ducklings taking baths.

One with a job?
Wait, did I miss the picture?
Also you ffffffffffff like Hakkekage.
I can only assume that it is your vagina which causes you to do this.
wax
Don't miss.
The biggest problems with pubic shaving involve missing.
You take them and then ... they keep coming back?
That could backfire.
Hahaha what. What are you doing.
I tried getting waxed once and the lady took half the skin off my clit. Never again.
It's cool Cass, I have a hard time shaving my legs too.
