Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
[TF2] Engineer update out! The Gunslinger, The Wrangler, Frontier Justice.
Posts
Anyway these changes are insanely good for offensive engineers(and by extension, offense in general). Moving sentries means that the moment your team clears a spot you can dump a L3 there and block out defenders. And with the Wrangler you can pop up a shield to squash resistance - if you bring out the Wrangler right away, the shield starts up halfway through the upgrade process.
Edit: The fist is exactly like the wrench, the mini sentries cannot be upgraded or repaired though.
What you talking about, silly.
COME FORTH, AMATERASU!
I lost connection, and it happened to freeze to give me a good look at the engies left, currently unrobotic hand.
I'll just quote myself:
The "health pack recharge mechanic" being how you used to get your sandvich back without using a resupply cabinet.
well the health pack recharge mechanic only affected DROPPING the sandvich, not eating it. you didn't need to get a healthpack every time you ate a sandvich. so when they said they replaced the health pack recharge mechanic with a cooldown timer, people assumed it simply meant for dropping the sandvich, which was awesome
edit: damnit barraketh
40 thousand people playing tf2 right now!
More than css lol, yay...
I'm gonna be playing borderlands for a couple weeks, as playing on two teams of 10 engineers each is not equivalent to fun.
It's pretty fun being a soldier and getting more than three times the score of anyone else playing
Huntera is still a butt for blowing up my stuff numerous times.
There's such a clusterfuck of Engineers that I can run around as a masked engie, sap every building they're huddled around, and backstab at least one or two before getting caught. It's fantastic!
Yup, it functions like a wrench, but with the additional bonus of chainsaw hand
Ka-Chung!
Ka-Chung!
The wrangler is pretty rad btw.
I figure if the Polycount update drops next week it'll calm down since there'll be new toys for other classes to distract people. (I'd love to see the "revenge crits" concept taken up with, say, the Medic. Someone kills his healing target, he gets crits for six seconds to defend himself with, for instance.)
That, and they'll realize that Engineering is a thankless job. You make or break teams, and isn't really flashy.
COME FORTH, AMATERASU!
That's probably gonna get patched. There are places engies shouldn't go. ;x
Please, call me ebo. I generally play TF2, Dungeon Defenders, Blood Bowl, and someday DotA 2.
never
we go where we please
what i think should be patched is how quickly one can move a level 3 sentry up
when you plop down a building you are moving up it automatically builds twice as fast, as if it is being wrenched
AND
it can be wrenched to increase the speed AGAIN
sentries will build in 2.5 seconds, then each upgrade will take probably a second
that sounds fantastic
Just as long as he also gets the ability to manually destroy his healing target for the crits, just like the engie.
I have to agree, but it was nice to get some playtime in with the Spy (one of my least used classes). Aside from the new Wranglin' spray-and-pray, a good Spy could have a field day in most of these games.
