    I should really eat today. I hate flag detail. It takes about 45 minutes, starting at 1645 and dinner only runs from 1600 to 1800, and I have to walk over a mile to get there.

    Looks like I'm going to get my PT in today.

    I'm not surprised, baked crust never works except on fish. I'd just had a recipe recommended to me so I thought I'd try it.

    Here.

    Half that. I used panko instead of corn flakes and real eggs rather than that nasty substitute shit. I coated it with my usual fried chicken seasoning before dipping in the egg and flour mix. Drumsticks and rib sections.

    Honestly, I know you're supposed to use egg when simulating fried chicken in the oven, but I never do because I could never actually get all the crust to bake through. I just rinse the chicken, pat it until it's just moist, and skip over the egg step. The crust will come out lighter and more delicate as a result. Also more like actual fried chicken in my experience.

    I'm not trying to emulate fried chicken, I want a nice thick crust, like you can't get with frying, actually. Part of why my friend recommended it, because the crust comes out very crunchy with it, rather than crisp.
