    Suggestion: Reviewing this thread and checking out the Facebook event page made me realize that we have a lot of first time PAX-attendees and/or a lot of ladies looking to break out of their security groups and meet some awesome, new people.

    When the official schedule becomes announced, we may wish to share what panel(s) or event(s) we'll be attending so that way people can gather together and not feel too overwhelmed. The convention center can be a big place with an overwhelming amount of people (most of them friendly); but having a fellow lady friend to talk to might make the entire event that much less stressful.

    This sounds like a lot of fun! This will be my first year at PAX...but this is probably very doable for me. Count me in!! :) The only reason why I wouldn't come along is if I got lost...or if the group of guys I'm going with hold me hostage.

    I'm totally hyped now.

    This sounds pretty interesting, and Sunday morning is usually pretty dead for what I'm interested in. Count me in, unless for some odd reason it overlaps with Wil's panel. 8-)

    I got my three day pass back in April, but never thought to check the threads. Silly me.
    Anyway, I'd love to come to the Girls Meetup! Just me for the moment, but another girl started hanging with my gaming crew and I'll see if she's interested in attending as well.

    Between me and her dad, like she had another choice! ;)

    Because the banhammer knows no gender. And just to make this very clear, guys in drag are not welcome (transgendered ladies are, of course, still invited) since I know boys who would show up in a dress just to attend. This meetup is for girls and girls alone.

    Yeah, about an hour, hour and a half TOPS. We will all be on separate checks so if anyone needs to pay and leave early they can.

    From the looks of the place/menu I think it's a Children-Friendly environment (Someone who actually LIVES in that area--let alone state--wanna confirm that?)

    But yes! If you want/she wants to, your daughter is more than welcome to join in on the fun!

    Okay ladies, as of right now I am closing this event until I hear back from the restaurant. We are reaching (over) their maximum capacity and though I know some people will flake (50% at East) I can't take that kind of chance. I'm waiting to hear back from the manager at Fonte to double check my numbers but consider this closed for right now.

    For people who didn't get on the list PM me and I'll get a wait list started. For people who have a spot and especially those with lots of people coming with PLEASE make sure you and your guests will come or you will be denying someone else a spot.

    Also, for people bringing children, a warning. At East the conversation did veer into adult subjects (conversation rated PG13-R, not X). If this is something that you don't want your child around you may want to reconsider bringing them to this event. If you're cool with adult conversation feel free to bring the younger generation of female gamers!

    Well, it's not a.. um... where do kids go... Applebees?; Fonte is essentially a classy liquor-serving establishment in the evenings, but as long as kids are watched carefully I'm sure it's fine. I don't remember if I actually saw a booster seat thing in there once or if my mind is playing tricks.

    I think it's really cool that the kids can come and be a part of this, and understand that there is a huge female population of gamers out there, and become a part of our community. I wish I would have had that! ... As long as we don't have to curtail our adult language and content...

    PS: I'm so excited this is at full capacity!!!! YOU ROCK FOR PLANNING THIS EEP!
