Aemille rounds the corner and sees the chaos erupt. "Oh dear," she thought as the feathered woman staggered to the ground. "This will not do at all." With a clear verse she reminds the Feathered Maiden of the triumph of the phoenix. Her words also bolsters Laineth's reserves.

"Now, about these louts." She looses an arrow at one of the archers, but it falls a bit short of its mark.
    Move: to G10.
Minor: Majestic Word on The Feathered Maiden. She spends a surge +3 and slides to H10.
Standard: Canon of Avoidance on Laineth. +2 to all her defenses until EoMNT.

    AP!

Standard: Prophesied Strike misses Archer 2.

    Stats:

Laineth The Free: ??-15/?? HP, Prone, ?? AC, ?? Fort, ?? Ref, ?? Will (+2 to all), ??/?? Surges, 0/4 pp
    Nimaran: 30/30 HP, 15 AC, 14 Fort, 17 Ref, 18 Will, 7/7 Surges

Mercenary 2: HP 37, AC 18, Fort 16, Ref 15, Will 14, cannot take OAs until end of Nimaran's Turn 2

    OA's
Aemille will make the following actions if able:

If an ally misses a melee attack by 5 or less, she uses Rhyme of the Blood-Seeking Blade. +7 vs. Reflex. 1[w] +4 damage. Enemy takes -5 to the defense attacked for that attack.

If an enemy attacks an ally, she uses Arrow of Warning. +7 vs. Reflex. 3[w] + 4 damage on a hit, half on a miss. If the attack hits, the ally can make a melee basic attack vs. the triggering enemy as a free action with +2 to the attack.

Well for the Rhyme of the Blade, you can make that roll whenever you feel like it.

Also in the stats, if you guys want to keep your action points up to date there, too that'd be cool

Gwyn-Lai slammed her foot into the chest of the mercenary attacking her, sending him stumbling back towards the guard. She followed up with a roll and a sweep, thunder cracking with the force of her movement as her fists blurred, bloodying both of her foes.

    No, it's the archer's turn.

"The archers step away from the battlemind, as she was still dangerous. Then, they nock their arrows, and loose. They both head for Aemille."

Archer 1: Shift to E4, Longbow against Aemille: Hits for 6, giving a bonus to the other archer.

Archer 2: Shift to I4, Longbow against Aemille: Hit for 14.

Aemille since they both hit. I'm assuming you want to do that Daily interrupt. Which one do you want it going towards?

The Maiden drags herself back up to her feet and composes herself again; when ready, she wastes no time getting back into the action. Those bowmen are starting to get on her nerves. Making a beeline toward the one across the room from her, she closes the gap in the blink of an eye. The Maiden feints to the left and forces the archer's guard up, then immediately swings to the right and thrusts forward with the point of her rapier, stabbing the business end into the top of his thigh.

So thanks to a PM from delroland, I have been informed that critical hits max out my Sneak Attack damage as well... and also that I forgot to add the +1d6 from my weapon.

Shows how long it's been since I played, right?

I guess that means that Archer 2 is... flat-out dead. Whoops. :|

Remember before anyone uses surges right now, if you do it while I am performing, you get a bonus to each = to my Cha Mod. (+3).

Skitter hops out of Aemille's rucksack and begins examining what goodies the fallen soldier have on them. Aemille saunters over towards the goon she knocked out and pours a bit of water on him. "C'mon Ms. Gwyn-Lai, this was probably only a misunderstanding that led to tragedy." She stands over the human, placing a foot casually on his chest, "Is there something you were looking for, dear? We only wished to talk before you lot got a bit rude, but that can be forgiven. This place is frightening and we are quite fearsome ourselves. Give us some information and maybe we can help you bury your friends and go home."

Aemille's words drip like honey. Nimaran can tell they are obviously magical and the others can make that guess almost as easily.

'You should thank us; there was a gelatinous cube in the other room. It was nasty.'

As Aemille talks with the enraptured archer, Skitter begins to chirp. He's found something of interest."

Between the bodies, Skitter's found 60 pieces of gold. He's also discovered that the guard was wearing Counterstrike Guards(Gywn-Lai Wishlist item). The dead mercenary was carrying two Potions of Healing that he never got the chance to use.

Laineth briefly checks her wounds to make sure they are simply painful, and nothing serious. Sword still in hand, but now held at rest, her eyes flick to the archer. "Aye, but who hired ye ta find nuthin' in particular?"
I'll spend two of Laineth's surges once Aemille begins performing, which will heal her to full.

The archer turns to Laineth. "Oh, nobody; my friends and I are...were very entrepreneurial. Pure luck that we happened to find this cave while being ready to explore.

What kind of luck that was is still being determined."

The archer turns towards Nimaran. "Nothing. This was the room we decided on after killing the cube."

"Use him to detect traps. Let's not wait too long." Gwyn-Lai paced back and forth across the room, the lack of airflow continuing to make her uneasy. She tried to calm herself, finding some measure of the inner peace that the wind gave her, but it was difficult. Finally, she settled in the middle of the room, breathing deeply.
    Woo short rest.

Yea, I'm just waiting to see what you do with the archer and where you want to go next.

The Maiden furrowed her brow. "Not quite so sure I fancy the idea of usin' the poor fellow as a trapcatcher..." she mused, stepping over to the defeated archer and clapping a reassuring hand onto Gwyn-Lai's shoulder as she passed. "Though I can't rightly say we trust you enough to not come back with friends, righ'?" She wrinkled her nose. "Anyway, we oughta move. No point in lingerin'."
Spending 2 surges to heal to full, 3/7 left.

"You'll stay away, won't you two?" Aemille batted her eyelashes, but also fingered the string of her bow.

The archer nods his head, as his unconscious companion slowly rises to his feet. "Oh yes, we have no desire to bother you fine people anymore. Just let us go, and we'll never come back here again."

So that's the left corridor taken care of...where to now?

Did it sound like the archer was telling the truth? I.e. can you roll Insight for us?
Laineth sniffs, waiting for the two mercenaries to make their leave. Once she is sure they are out of earshot, she quickly cleans and shoulders her blade. "Aye, let's get to it, then. Only one direction left to go!" She begins returning the way the group came, back to the entrance of the other path.

...Two, actually. You took the left path, but there was still the center and right paths left.

Nimaran runs one hand along the left wall while holding a lit staff in the other.

"If we follow our rule of lefts," he mused, "that should take us down the center path next."

"Center." Gwyn-Lai moved back down the tunnel a bit, refreshing herself in the faint breeze from the entrance as she waited for the others to move ahead. A brief moment of respite was enough to calm her mind, at least for now.

The center path heads straight on for about 50 ft. or so before you find a staircase leading down. Following that, you find yourself in a circular chamber. There is a statue in the middle of the room; It depicts a dwarf and an elf fighting off some form of devil. There are two openings; one offest to the left, and one to the right.

The Maiden quirked a brow at the fork in the path, cocking her hip to the side and shifting her weight from one foot to the other. "Whoever made this tomb certainly did not want to make it easy for visitors. Left or right, fellows?" She produced a gold piece via sleight of hand and twirled it between her fingers. "Shall I simply flip a coin?"

Aemille studies the statue for a moment, but nothing looks too familiar.

"Let's not be too hasty, this room may hold a clue or some sort of secret."

As she starts to examine the room in detail with Skitter, she adds, "Though if nothing turns up, I vote left again."
