Whoops: I mean Reinhardt. Lucas is lamezzorz.
Is is the outfit? Because I think it's the outfit.

Sure, she looks silly, but she a pretty fun character to play.
Next playthrough I'm gonna roll with Reinhart, and probably Katarina as my partner. Doubt I'll ever attempt to play the game on hardcore though, had to bump it to casual for the Gent, and even then it was a struggle...

The camera is so high up you never really get a good look at her cleavage or legs, but I will admit I was a little bothered that she had very little visual diversity. Her guns and gear almost always looked the same, aside from color or a few feathers.
She is, however, very fun to play as and probably the strongest character in the game by far.
Lucas and Anjali are a lot of fun to play as, but I ultimately chose to play as Katarina first (after a lot of back and forth saves) because of her voice actress. Lucas' obviously fake British accent (which seemed to bounce between American Neutral and British) annoyed me, and Anjali was very flat and sounded like a robot.
It's not even the overt sexism anymore. She just looks stupidly uncomfortable, poor girl.
The ingame timer actually IS accurate after a few tests, but it doesn't count deaths or anything, so it's ideal.
Also I used the OPF extractor linked before to find out the unlocking prereqs for abilities. It's very simple - 150 uses for defensive abilities and 200 for offensive ones.
Who can tell him what will happen under the sun after he is gone?"
After 30 seconds, get to the platform and spam the OP Vanguard's Strike.
Lucas is great, but I think it's because I'm an RPG warrior at heart. Oh, and GameFAQs published my Lucas guide!
The Raid
Other than the build and what gear you equip - there's none really. I wasn't shocked by this though.

I don't think anybody expected Mass Effect or Elder Scrolls-level of customization on characters that were pregenerated from the start.
You never really see her cleavage (unless you do it for kicks and play the camera) except if you are not playing her and she gets better outfits later. Pants and the belly free outfit removed to full on (except cleavage). Theres actually a ingame "reason" for Lescanzi putting out so much. They are a matriarchal society which expands by mixing with other races/societies. So the "whore" comment may have not been so wrong.
Doesn't really explain Rajani and her unnamed friend but still.
The games setting is actually mostly controlled by females.
Royals = The Queen
Azunai = Jeyne
Lescanzi = Whoevers in charge
Legion = If you play a female
The only "big" society that isn't is the republic of stonebridge. And they were/are arguably the worst and most backwards of the bunch (even though you side with them in the end)
wat
Diablo 2 had 5 presets and was much more flexible and Mass Effect or Elder Scrolls
I expect MANY VIABLE WACKY BILDS
edit: But yeah I was referring to build variety/complexity rather than i make pretty barbie face
although I like make pretty barbie face
fun
My Backloggery
The republic is more backwards than all the warmongering, crusade obsessed monarchs?
Finished the game - normal - Lucas - do gooder choices.
I have to say, the game sounds like it wants you to change stances as needed but the ability progression and gear seems to push you to focus on one spell, then pour all points on your 30 second buffs. My tactic on every boss was Cast three buffs->Spam your two handed charge->When you get all power back, repeat.
And gear helps push you that way too, as the two handed charge with 50% extra crit chance begs for more Doom (on Jayn it crits for 1k+ easy) And agi (to close the gap to 100%).
I'm playing Kat now, and it seems she was built better and I find that two hours in, I change a lot between stances.
Yeah, pretty much.
The Royals fight for survival against Jeyne and Jeyne fights because
Now compare that with Stonebridge that was perfectly content with murdering legionnares that didn't defend themselves in the streets and do so without even prosecute those responsible. Granted it has cool guys too but it has a lot more things I'm uncomftable with. Also the other male lead society in the game (First People) which are basically super racists.

Including the original concept art for Katarina
And the Vodyanoy
So I did a run with Kat in 2:31.
Who can tell him what will happen under the sun after he is gone?"
I did already realize that. But it still was wrong for me.
For example my timer went from
13:00:40
to
13:00:12
(not 100% correct on the timer. From Memory)

:Stats:
Stamina = HP
Will = Ability Damage
Agility = Crit Chance
Doom = Extra Crit Severity
Momentum = Gain Focus on hit
Retribution = Dmg enemies that hit you (similar to thorns in Diablo)
Stagger = Stun Chance on hit
Warding = Stun Chance on being hit
Armour = I think this is a flat dmg reduction
:Chaos effects:
Bloodletting = Bleed effect (damage over time)
Fire = Elemental Fire damage
Ice = Elemental Ice damage
Lightning = Elemental lightning damage
Poison = Damage over time
Vampire = Drain life with each hit
Weakening = Enemies do less damage for a time
Withering = Enemies take more dmg for a time
It's worth noting that when you use an offensive ability, the game adds both your Attack DPS and Ability DPS scores together when working out the damage so you need to keep both values high.
Defensive abilities key off Ability DPS only.
All the stats are in the in-game glossary. One of the other important things to note is that the stat (like Chaos:Fire 66) only affects the damage of the ability, not the proc rate. So having Chaos:Lightning 2 is actually pretty good, as it still randomly stuns your enemies.
Also, I discovered a trick.
You can move to cancel the aftercast animation of all abilities and the first attack of your combo. Doing the first attack over and over doesn't help much for damage or gaining focus, but it does help doing things like this:
shoot->ability->step->shoot combo
where normally you would have to wait after the ability to finish. Another use is:
ability->step->ability(->step->ability, etc.)
which takes MUCH longer if you stand still.
It's simple to do - just hold right-click and hit the ability once you see your character move slightly. I'd call it "step canceling."
Any time you can step cancel, you can also dodge, but you can dodge during things you can't step cancel, like the windups of the 2nd and 3rd hits of your combo.
Who can tell him what will happen under the sun after he is gone?"
It's also worth noting that Retribution and Warding can trigger off blocked or shielded attacks.
The Raid
Also, trying to beat a boss (Rajani) with your starting equipment is fucking frustrating...
3DS FC: 5129-0946-8305
Alternatively you could get a real person on the second player and breeze past it.
Who can tell him what will happen under the sun after he is gone?"
Fun times. I like this game bunches.
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor
My new novel:
Maledictions: The Offering.
Now in Paperback!
My only real complaint is that the voice thing blows on PC. It's crackly, or breaks up, or is too quiet, or sometimes just doesn't work. I know I'll be chatting with people, and then suddenly they'll go quiet, so I'll be sitting there going "canyouhearmecanyouhearmecanyouhearmecanyouhearmecanyouhearmecanyouhearmecanyouhearmecanyouhearmecanyouhearmecanyouhearme" for them to get angry and start typing in that they can hear me, yet I can't hear them at all.
I've never experienced it in other games, and I would hate to have to switch to something like Vent for an anonymous game over the internet.
Still fun though.
I also had some weirdness with the 100k damage and sold value achievement. I got the deed for the damage while on the second to last boss, and then the achievement actually popped on my way to the final one. I got the deed for selling 100k at the merchant in the Spire, but had to sell another 25k worth of stuff to get the achievement.
Now I need this "play co-op for 3 hours in one session" achievement, which is frankly bullshit. I don't have 2 wired controllers so I can't even cheese it by doing it locally.
ETA is somewhere next week

That uh...that definitely seems like a bug.
