The new Velma is kind of a cunt. I mean, the way she freaked out at the tourists and then tried to rape Shaggy in the back of the Mystery Machine? Not the Velma I knew growing up.

Just for the record, the show has not been cancelled.
IGN, who reported that it had been, misunderstood what was meant when it was said that the current episodes being produced would be the last. That means that the show will end with 65 episodes, which is the usual cap for a CN produced show.
Once again, the show will be playing the remaining 27 episodes in CN's order, then it will end. Like any moderately successful show does.
It is ending in spite of the desire of the creators to produce more episodes of this show.
The main creator is making another Batman title by the way, but hasn't said much more about it.
He said it'd be darker. And the other creator is going off to make a new Thundercats show.

All I know about the show is that it is being made and one of the people who does this show is working on it.
If I find out this doesn't happen.

Though I still love the old adventure series with crossovers and Don Knotts. They were just so delightfully campy.
Every episode is almost exactly the same; less than 5% difference excluding the setting. Even if you could ignore that, each one is mediocre at best. At the same time, the show and movies are played incessantly on Cartoon Network and the series hasn't been socially relevant for ages.
Basically it is the Nickelback of cartoon shows.
