They are well maintained cars sometimes without a lot of milege and built like a tank. Great for first time drivers, and could be had at cheap.

yes but they look like cop cars

    This can actually be handy.

People don't tend to cut you up or otherwise drive like a dick around you if they're figuring out if you're an unmarked cop car.

I notice this every time I get a plain white or silver rental car.

Man I find out Monday if I get the new job. Hopefully they give me a healthy raise and I can buy a bike comfortably before the summer is over.

And my dad just texted me "If we need to reach you this weekend how will we do that with your phone not available?" Uh, does he think Verizon stops existing in New Jersey or something?

Edit: Joker I'll suffer the heat to protect my jaw and chin. Thank you very much.

    Wait a minute.

    Empathy coming from Emnmnme?

    ...

Can any mods check the IP or something . I think an account has been hijacked.

It's rare but, hey, it's almost Christmas. What better time to show a little empathy for your fellow man?

I just had a sudden flashback to the Viz strip "Christ on a bike".

It started "Jesus was the luckiest messiah in all Nazareth, because his father, an expert carpenter, built him a three-speed chopper bike".

I decided to stop drinking New World wine a year or so ago, as I figured it was a criminal waste of living near France and Spain. I went to this place that had a 44 page Spanish wine list, which sort of made me feel vaguely foolish

I usually find there is a price premium on European wine (especially French) over New World at a given level of quality.

Less so if you buy by the case, for some reason.

Yeah, that does seem to be the case, unless you have a nice celler nearby. Luckily London is pretty sorted out for that kind of thing so the prices are not too bad. It is rather shocking how much cheaper this stuff is on the continent though.

You and Bob should come down to London sometime and I'll take you to this place, where we can wine and cheese it. It is in South Kensington, so it is right next to the V&A/Natural History/Science Museum too.

We are still planning on coming down at some point but the plan depends on either of us (and preferably both) having some disposable cash at some stage.

    Possibly after the wedding.

Yeah I'm coming along I guess. The chardonnays I like are generally pretty buttery, but also crispy or something. I like viognier too. Riesling is OK, but not my first choice.

I've got a buddy who's a sommelier, and he's always hooking up pretty amazing wines, which is fun. But my go to is usually something red and big. I think my dollars go farther with red as well, as opposed to white.

Ef dub, let's talk about you and nicely chilled sauvignon blancs during these warm summer months.

Modern Man has been surprisingly reasonable (even if I still disagree with him often) lately. I predict he is the next ElJeffe.

What you think "makes sense" has nothing to do with reality. It just has to do with your life experience. And your life experience may only be a small smidgen of reality. Possibly even a distorted account of reality at that. So what this means is that, beginning in the 20th century as our means of decoding nature became more and more powerful, we started realizing our common sense is no longer a tool to pass judgment on whether or not a scientific theory is correct. - Neil Degrasse Tyson

Did it have multiplayer on a single x-box? (split / shared screen)
