There's this thing... It's like a program that lets you keep your IM clients open while in-game and I cannot for the fucking life of me recall what the hell it is. Someone help me out here.

I posted this in the MMO forum, feeling it to be pertinent to their... thing, i guess, but that forum moves like old people fuck: slow, and sloppy.

add the game's executable to your steam library, and launch it from there, and it will use the steam overlay I think.

My computer is stupid but sometimes when I play a non steam game and I access the overlay, it's sluggish and I have to hit shift-tab more than once. I have no idea if this is a problem for anyone else, I just thought I'd give you a fair warning.

yeah once I figured out how to add non-steam games to steam, I'm pretty much always on steam

unless I'm playing SC2 because for some reason steam lags the computer to hell and back

I dunno, my computer wouldn't turn off last night and when I started it this morning it decided to run a check disk thing all by itself.

Actually I have a shitty harddrive that I can't replace at this moment, and everything just needs to be updated.

i have a logitech g15 keyboard with a screen you can connect to msn or whatever and use it to chat while playing games

requires friends though
and 32bit windows last time i checked
so theres two problems with the technology right there
