Blarg I'm a big old dumbass again!
Mike's thievery = [19,18] = (37)
Ferdinand's Athletics = [8,12] = (20)
Ferdinand has a good pound on the door and presses and yanks on its various panels. Distinct hollow noises and a slight give allow him to point Mike in the general direction of a number of points around the door where mechanisms seem to be hidden in the woodwork.
Mike starts to work a slim blade into the cracks and crevices indicated and discovers some small hidden studs which seem to release something when pressed. He has time so far to find studs in roughly half the places Ferdinand has indicated.
One more relevant skill success needed to find the other half.
Terios thinks back to the legends of Acerak and really tries to get into his mind. 'If I were a cruel bastard liche with a sadistic sense of humour, just how would I seal these doors..?' His musings allow him to point the two working on the door to some possible insights.
He added a +2 bonus to one of those physically working with the door. History can't be repeated this door. Insight might work as a substitute though
Aleksander amuses himself as he leaps ninja like around the small enclosed space. He doesn't help matters at all but at least he was nimble enough to not get in anyone else's way.
Acrobatics is an irrelevant skill.
Derek turns his mage eye on the door. He quickly sees that this door is simply a complex mechanism and no magic is at play. However there is something going on. Yes, in the walls of the room. A pulse of arcane energy. Building. Getting stronger really quite quickly. Not nice energy. You have a bad feeling about this and feel that getting out of the room quite quickly would be a really good plan.

I will continue trying to open the door with thievery skills!
I'll use Athletics again if I can.
He drops to his knees.
"Oh please Gods please Gods please Gods get me out of here alive..."
Religion check - 14
Aleksander has a sober moment from his insanity and jumps down from the chain he was hanging upside down on, landing on his head. Again.
" I'm pretty good at them mechanismismsmism's let me take a look!"
Thievery vs door i got tools dunno if they can help. Oh man... 1d20+14: 15 + 2 From the tools so .. 17 ! Heh.. Goodbye cruel world.
Religion did not help. The Gods do not hear you in The Tomb.
The door swings open and you all bundle though quickly. Terios yanks the stangely unresponsive Derek behind him, and just in time. Lightning shoots from the walls and fills the room you just left with arcs of electricity.
You turn around and find yourself in a pretty much identical small room. Another ornate door ahead of you.
Derek mumbles,
"Energy building again, both rooms now, quick, quick, quick"
WiiU: JamWarrior
I'll use Athletics on this door as well if it wasn't clear.
Thievery: 1d20+18 24
I will use Insight on the door to see if its a fake door. 1d20+5: 24
"We must hurry..."
Dungeoneering = 26

...crap.
Terios tells a nice anecdote about the time Acerak convinced an adventurer to eat his own head. It doesn't really help matters.
With Derek and Aleksander on helpful advice duty (successful aiding) and Mike and Ferdinand on the good adventurer/bad adventurer tag team of pounding and gentle poking (successful primary checks), a number of hidden catches are found concealed along the right hand edge of the door. They are released but what that has achieved is not immediately obvious and will take more fiddling.
This progress is not fast enough though as the magic lightning finishes its charge and shoots from the walls once more. The bolts twist together in the air and form a single whip like arc which shoots straight for Ferdinand, discharging into his body in a painful crack.
4d8+2 → [6,1,5,1,2] = (15) Lightning damage for Ferdinand.
A humming at the back of Derek's skull lets him know the trap is no sooner finished with its attack before it is charging once more.

"Hahah looks like this place just starting to warmed up, it's about time. We should probably hurry though, one of you little babies might actually get hurt by that attack."
Thievery check - 1d20+14: 30+2 From the thieves tools still not sure if they apply to the door.
Dungeoneering = 20
IKRPG: Chains of Corvis - Phelan Rathburn (Human Ranger/Spy)
Thievery - 21
You all jump though ahead of the next magic discharge to be confronted with a familiar sight. Another blank room. Another ornate door.
A quick nod from Derek is all you need to know that the game is still afoot and the magic is charging.
New Round.
Thieves tools do indeed apply.

Athletics Check: 1d20+12: 18 Bleh
Alexander searches for a secret door concealed by magic or otherwise.
Insight 1d20+8: 11
Thievery 1d20+16: 23 Bleh
Thievery: 1d20+18 34

Crap.
Arcana = 19
IKRPG: Chains of Corvis - Phelan Rathburn (Human Ranger/Spy)
Alexsander's search of the rest of the room turns up nothing to suggest there is more to this than the door gauntlet.
Derek attempts to hold back the magic forces but the power builds from too many sources into one overwhelming wave he can't combat and the lightning strikes forth again. This time it homes in on Mike's back as he works.
[5,2,3,7,2] = (19) Lightning damage for Mike.
Fascinating map update:
Next Round!

Poop
"Oh, the door!"
Thievery check - 1d20+16: 30
Dungeoneering = 16
IKRPG: Chains of Corvis - Phelan Rathburn (Human Ranger/Spy)
Derek tries to help but doesn't have much useful to offer either.
Aleksander jumps around behind everyone waving his arms but can't get to the door to help.
I said only two people per skill.
However, Mike and Terios each pull on a separate side of the frame simultaneously and the double panels of the door open inward allowing the party to pile into the next room as the lightning zaps behind them.
The next room is significantly longer than the others but has a familiar sight at its end.
Next Round!
WiiU: JamWarrior
I apologize for that i seem to have not read that. But it's something Aleksander would do.
I guess that makes up for the last shitty one.
Ferdinand heads up to try his luck yet again on a door.
