I went a sustainability event yesterday night in Portland (boyfriend did a short presentation) with lots of people who are into green and sustainable and reusing stuff

I would love to hear those guys react to that newspost

Probably not at all because the metaphor is reaching.

It basically calls people assholes who buy used without contemplating some other positives to buying used that could even outweigh the negatives (as PA guys see them).

    Dude

They are attacking the used video game market

the used video game market is a good thing for the environment because it means fewer goods are needed to satisfy demand, less plastic ends up in landfills, etc

    there is no metaphor here

the environmental and sustainability movements are pro second-hand goods and freecycling

I've put together a team that covers absolutely every element. Note that there are probably a few dual-type pokemon that I won't have a counter for, but I've got every element covered.

    Scyther
    Jolteon
    Murkrow
    Hitmonlee
    Cubone
    Psyduck

I've got everything. Hitmonlee covers normal, steel, rock, ice, and dark. Jolteon is for flying and water. Murkrow has got ghost, psychic, grass, and bug. Scyther has grass, psychic, fighting, dark, and bug. Cubone's got poison, electric, and flying. Psyduck covers poison, fighting, fire, ground, rock, and dragon*.

    * - this should work, in theory. Psyduck's evolved form should have high enough speed and special attack to take down dragons with an attack such as blizzard or ice beam but fighting dragons is always a crapshoot to some extent so we'll see how that goes.

No, his point was that monetarily speaking from the perspective of the developer it's not much different from piracy and while there is a world of difference morally that statement concerning money is absolutely correct. Developers can't keep track of those sales and they aren't compensated for the sale. I'm not saying they should be, a moral judgment is not being made either, a narrow comparison is being made.
