if hoyt's mom kills jessica itll suck so hard, most annoying character (assuming tara is gone) killing the hottest one

  • Capt HowdyCapt Howdy Registered User regular
I think she'll try to kill Jessica, Hoyt will jump in the way, and Jess will turn him to save his life. Makes sense, and the fans will love it.

Then they feast on mom and her sunny doll buddy. Also, a haunted house with two vamps living in it would be freakin awesome.

So Bill can mimic voices and fly? Thats....new.
Looks like Alceide gets to knock dem boots next.
Jessica and Hoyt are the best thing this show has going at the minute.
    Hoyt's mom must die.
    So does doll girl.
They will screw up and shoot Hoyt, forcing Jess to turn him. (My guess)
I too was pissed were-girl didn't scratch/bite/whatever and turn Jason.
Bye Tara, see you when you figure things out.
    No way Sam shot Tommy.
    Bored with Arlene's baby plot.
Bill was awesome for the first time, until he didn't stake the queen while she wasn't looking.

Also, why did the queen say she was almost twice his age? I thought she was much older. Or is Bill older than we thought?

We saw Bill being turned into a vampire on screen, it was right as the Civil War was ending so no, he's not older than we thought.

more than twice, I think. I'm estimating the queen to be 3-400 years old. This makes sense: Eric could have been king of Louisiana if he wanted to simply due to his age.

This all makes sense to anyone who liked Vampire the Masquerade. Imagine politics where the people in power never stepped down, but merely became more powerful as time passed. Imagine your least favorite politician never stepping down and always being stronger than anyone that came afterward. It's crazy.

If Russell had any other progeny that were still under the maker/progeny bond, they'd have shown up after Russell went on TV and murdered the news anchor.

As for Sophie-Anne, it's pretty clear that she ascended to her position due to money and political acumen, not pure physical power. Alternately, she was set up as the Queen of Louisiana because she's more pliable than an Eric Northman or the like might be.

When he dies, I hope they write "Worst Affirmative Action Hire, EVER" on his grave. His corpse should be trolled.

What the hell is Bill's deal then? The queen chose him for a reason. Is he a saiyan vampire who gets stronger the more he fights? Does the repeated drinking of Fairy blood give him more powers? What the hell is with the voice mimicry?

I'm pretty sure you don't need special vampire powers to be able to mimic a person's voice well enough to fool someone over the phone. And Bill feels like he has nothing to lose. However, I'll bet that since she's only twice his age, his apparent skill with hand to hand fighting will probably trump her power.

Regular people can do voice mimicry/impersonations lol, you don't need super special vampire powers for it. If you got a call that your phone recognizes as your friend's number, you pick up and hear a halfway decent imitation of his voice for 2 short sentences, you'd probably believe it was him. Any irregularity you'd chalk up to it being over the phone, too.

I'm not sure why Russell's progeny would show up after seeing him go batshit crazy on TV, in this scenario I'm imagining they're living on their own in Europe or the Middle East or wherever they're from when they got turned thousands of years ago. They're sipping their True Blood and catching the news and think "oh Russell, you crazy bastard" as they chuckle and change the channel.

But when they actually sense him being in trouble, which for a vampire his age must be quite a rarity, even the progeny that doesn't really give a damn may go dig him up simply because their curiosity is piqued. Stuff like this doesn't happen every century!

I just think the risk is far too great, even human accidental release could occur well earlier than a hundred years.

  • belligerentbelligerent Registered User regular
remember what made him go batshit crazy: Talbot's death. if that wouldn't send the "My maker's in trouble/anguish" I don't know what would. Or how about when he's outside in the sun all day?

The fact that he doesn't anticipate being rescued at all should be the final nail in the "he has other progeny" coffin.

But his was perfect. He didn't just sound kind of like Eric, they used Eric's voice for that. The guy pulled a Terminator playback. There's more to Bill than they're letting on.

I was pretty damn happy with the finale, they had enough twist and turns in that one episode all over the place, was pretty damn satisfied overall.

I'd like them to turn concrete russel over to the vampire league, to be honest. Give him to the feds as some red meat to calm human vampire relations

That would make too much sense.

I like how realistic some parts of this show are, like everyone having PTSD.

Imagine Buffy with PTSD. It's probably how they pitched the show. :P
