[True Blood] #2 (Book Spoilers Likely) - Last Ep Season 3 Finale "Evil Is Going On"

Then they feast on mom and her sunny doll buddy. Also, a haunted house with two vamps living in it would be freakin awesome.
We saw Bill being turned into a vampire on screen, it was right as the Civil War was ending so no, he's not older than we thought.
It seems stupid that you can just take territory via trial by combat though, why would Russell bother with an intricate plot to marry Sophie Anne then? Why not just murder her considering that he's apparently 3,000 to her 320?
I thought they were being completely, completely retarded with Russell btw. That cement holds Eric for like 5 minutes because Pam can sense his distress and go free him. Sidenote: What mook did Bill send to kill her btw? I didn't catch that part (and I can't think of anyone who would actually be capable of it...).
So. Russell is 3,000 years old. He probably has dozens of active progeny (at least), some of which may still be loyal and others which may be greedy. What's stopping a couple of vampires in Europe right now sensing their maker's distress and deciding to go help out? Or after a prolonged time of distress calls becoming curious as to wtf has befallen him?
This is just the absolute worst risk to take.
Edit: Oh also if Hoyt gets shot Jessica can just give him blood to heal him, no need to turn him. That said she SHOULD turn him at some point, since, you know, immortality.
This all makes sense to anyone who liked Vampire the Masquerade. Imagine politics where the people in power never stepped down, but merely became more powerful as time passed. Imagine your least favorite politician never stepping down and always being stronger than anyone that came afterward. It's crazy.
As for Sophie-Anne, it's pretty clear that she ascended to her position due to money and political acumen, not pure physical power. Alternately, she was set up as the Queen of Louisiana because she's more pliable than an Eric Northman or the like might be.
I'm not sure why Russell's progeny would show up after seeing him go batshit crazy on TV, in this scenario I'm imagining they're living on their own in Europe or the Middle East or wherever they're from when they got turned thousands of years ago. They're sipping their True Blood and catching the news and think "oh Russell, you crazy bastard" as they chuckle and change the channel.
But when they actually sense him being in trouble, which for a vampire his age must be quite a rarity, even the progeny that doesn't really give a damn may go dig him up simply because their curiosity is piqued. Stuff like this doesn't happen every century!
I just think the risk is far too great, even human accidental release could occur well earlier than a hundred years.
The fact that he doesn't anticipate being rescued at all should be the final nail in the "he has other progeny" coffin.
But his was perfect. He didn't just sound kind of like Eric, they used Eric's voice for that. The guy pulled a Terminator playback. There's more to Bill than they're letting on.
Oh crap...I hope skynet isn't involved!:winky:
Make it a Cyborg Ninja Vampire that transforms and we're all set.
Ur-Blackbeard Mk.II
Evil Undead King of the Barbarian Robot Ninja Pirates.
Liked the reveal about Jesus and Lafayette though. And Terry being so happy.
I think if Debbie...
If faith is just a silent tribute, mine is just a desperate act.
Well, that sounds awfully familiar.

Russell is being setup for a comedy ending. Dracula Dead and Loving it Style
There is no way this can't be explored next season.
More than likely it defaults to the human's permission.

What spring does with the cherry trees.
I think that was more of a "I'll do whatever I have to" kinda thing instead of a "I'll have to do this because it's our only recourse" kinda thing.

And Tara may be the most realistic person on the show, but that's why we're watching this show instead of our neighbors. Real people suck and are boring.
And Terry is the best guy on the show, problems or not, and Hoyt fucking that vampire makes him a lucky son of a bitch. Not like he's with her just BECAUSE she's a vampire and he's a V addict. Maybe he'll perfect the situation and have her turn him.
Let's hope that Tara was really driving away for a long time.
Imagine Buffy with PTSD. It's probably how they pitched the show.
Fixed that for you.
i though the furious german was a nice touch. sure, russell adopted the southern dandy thing and has probably been at it for a while, but god knows what his original ethnicity was
That part made me sad.
