Yes Kelor! Yes I like all of these things!
Throw all of them in a blender, add a dose of post-apocalyptica, a sound studio and what do you get?
We're Alive - A Story of Survival
Without giving too much away, the series is very much along the lines of the 1940s radio dramas of old, transitioning into podcast form to soothe those long hours commuting to work/school or the gym. A friend of mine mentioned this to me last week and having listened to half the first season and knowing there are plenty of people here into this sort of thing I thought I'd pass it along.
We're Alive follows the lives of a group of three Army Reserve members called back to duty when things go wrong. While the story at times swaps narration, they are the primary characters in the show when it kicks off and I don't want to ruin anything by listing any more. I may add them in spoilers at a later date.
There are 12 episodes out at this stage, most containing three chapters that run to about fifteen minutes each. Now seems to be a particularly good time to jump in since the first season has just wrapped up. The voice work has be quite good so far and I've plowed through six chapters in the last couple of days.
The Cast:
Sargeant. Michael Cross: Serving Army Intelligence for several tours in Iraq and the Middle East, he joined the army to go to college and has recently returned to continue his education. The most calm and clear thinking of the group, he finds himself mediating between the others at times.
2nd Lieutenant Angel Tunudo: Fresh out of Officer Candidate School (Public Affairs) Angel has been trained for leadership but lacks any experience in combat and comes across as being pushy at times. Think of Gorman in Aliens.
Specialist Saul Tink: In contrast to Angel, Saul is more laid back in attitude and demeanor. He met Michael during their tour of Iraq and was transferred to his unit upon return. While trained in the use of many weapons he can't use (or aim) them particularly well.

I'll give the first couple of episodes a listen later this evening.
Or am I being an idiot and missing the obvious?
I assumed that some are intentional and some are not C2B. The characters seemed to be initially and there was a couple of times you could picked out that the voicing seemed forced but overall it didn't detract from it too much.
Episode 1 spoilers:
Situation excellent. I am attacking.
- General Ferdinand Foch
I have nothing but positive things to say about this show. It's a great way to spend 15 to 20 minutes every week.
The voicing definately gets better as the season progresses, but Peg's voice remains annoying though it could just be the way the character is intended.
Right now, with the Mallers showing up I'm leaning towards Kelly being the traitor since she's done an about face on the way she's been acting. All the jazz about now wanting to survive and was so agreeable to the party.
Angel saying that he can match anyone in terms of horrible stories after he and Riley had to bury themselves in the pile of corpses to escape attention has been great.
Also so many dick jokes that episode.
It really grow on me, after the first few episodes. I pretty much love it now.
