It's good. Quite good. No humongously illogical puzzles, but some of them are clever enough that you'll spend some time thinking. Plenty of references and character-based humor. The only complaint I have about it is the the wait for the next one, honestly.
Um...how do I install it? I bought it straight off the telltale website. Downloaded a zip file. Unzipped it, and it's just a bunch of folders. I don't see any kind of setup executable.
Christ, I'm still not sold on the new story setup, but the entire intro sequence was absolutely masterfully done. Some of Telltale's most impressive work.

Finished it in a sitting. A bit simple and easy, but that's typical for episode 1 of a Telltale series, and it's especially expected for something that they expect to have broader appeal than anything they've ever done.
Honestly, the worst part is Biff, but we pretty much already knew that. The voice sounds nothing like movie-Biff, and 1930s Tannen doesn't resemble Biff in any way.
As the end neared, I wondered if they would have a montage for episode 2, just like in the movies. Spoiler for whether it happened or not:
They totally did. Even did the To Be Continued, with the music and everything. I don't think Telltale has ever had an in-game preview of an upcoming episode before.
I've never played a Telltale game, but I'm intrigued by Back to the Future. I wonder if it draws any inspiration from the BttF Animated series/comic book?
Hell, it has to be better than the NES game...

Great first episode. Kind of dragged in the middle, and there are still a few animation/voice glitches, but really strong start nonetheless. Like I said, I think the entire intro sequence is some of the best stuff Telltale has ever done and an incredible use of the license.
My biggest problem is probably the lack of Thomas F. Wilson. The new guy does a decent job, but I don't really think he sounds recognizable as his character in the same way that the Marty voice actor does.

I heard the first episode is only about 2 hours long
For people who have completed it, how far into it do they get in the Giantbomb quicklook?
Not far at all. You could consider that as just an intro to the episode, since the rest of it takes place in the 30s. Where they leave off, the game has barely begun.
I've never understood it when people say they beat Telltale episodes in 2 hours. They always take me about 4, because half the fun is listening to the dialogue for the choices that are obviously wrong.

Any ideas?
What's wrong with buying it from Telltale? It's still digital, dammit.

The installer's like 386 MB.
Hopefully all five episodes will install together for a total size of 1.21 GB

I'm curious as to how it compares to Monkey Island and Sam & Max, both storywise and humor-wise.
There are many others like it, but this one is mine.

So you're upset that you have to wait because you're a cheapskate then. Right.

Fairly certain they'll have a demo at some point.

Best damn news all day.
