Jesus. They just keep going and going and going and going...

These remind me a lot of Planescape which is a good thing. I like that they were willing to inject some humor/weirdness into the artwork instead of just doing typical vanilla, Lord of the Rings-style fantasy.

These are amazing. Did you come up with any of the concepts yourself, or did you just get verbal descriptions? I want to know the backstories on some of those creatures. When does the game come out? I haven't seen anything on facebook with this kind of quality.

Looks like a really cool job, providing good experience at the least.

We had pretty much full reign of the creative side of things. Pretty much all of these were conceptualized be myself, or the other devs.

You can play the game here, but (not to toot my own horn) the art is pretty much the only strong point.

Wow wicked stuff dood. They are a really nice showcase of the scope of your skill. No 2 cards look alike and they all have sound composition injected with healthy doses of style and fabulous colors.

I was gonna say what my favorites where but I had like 25 so I'll just say my fav 2, the green wheel of legs and the dude panning for treasure.

I was gonna say what my favorites where but I had like 25 so I'll just say my fav 2, the green wheel of legs and the dude panning for treasure.

The leg-wheel has such a weird story behind it. We had this character called a Tokoloshe which is this South African boogieman (our boss is south african and wanted one in the game) that bites peoples toes when they're asleep (in the head-icons, he's the green dude with the fur hat and his tongue sticking out).
So, in order for the player to get rid of these Tokoloshes, they needed to collect toenails to feed them (duh). And we needed a creature that dropped toenails. Something with a lot of feet. My coworker doodled a little sun with legs radiating out from it on the whiteboard. And thus was conceived the abominable Pedi'Rota monster.

If anyone wants to see higher res of some specific ones, just shout it out and I'll post em.

Holy crap. I was just in the middle of checking my Mousehunt page when I stumbled on the awesome post for this. Pretty crazy to think that there are several PA Forumers right here who make the games we play everyday.

Gibs, did you get to invent those mice from scratch? Or did someone basically say "we need a troll mouse" and you got take it from there?
