Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

I might have been making that logic up, I don't actually remember what the purpose behind delaying the queen was
And just tested it out with the 14 pool and there is no way skipping a queen is good there. Income was high enough to support a Queen and pumping drones early. I could see it having some use with a lower supply pool perhaps.
for those who don't know, the more creep tumors next to each other, the faster the creep spreads out. With 2 or 3 you can keep placing new ones at max range. So if you have a ton of creep tumors going off in each direction you can spread creep crazy fast

STEAM ID
unit control during combat is 'micro'
STEAM ID
that's called control groups and hotkeys
And important part of good macro and micro
nah, it's just going off the 'big stuff' 'little stuff' definitions. computer macros can actually get you banned, blizzard has a '1 key = 1 action' policy
Macro is everything that isn't moving your units.
Yeah, everyone goes through this. I'm still not over my 1v1 terror.
In my most recent 1v1 ladder games, I won my first match and my hands were actually shaking at the start of the next one.
I was like, "Godammit, calm down! You're screwing up what little macro skills you have!"

The Zerglings got one kill. Could have done a little better with the micro, but that is just mean.
The trick is to sit down and play 5 games in a row, regardless of outcome.
More you play, easier it is.

well considering 28 lings is 700 minerals and 10 marines+9 marauders is 1250 minerals and 225 gas I would hope they win.
I don't think he means that you should let the enemy force walk into your base and annihilate you while you do the same to him. You can have small groups of fast units like zerglings and mutalisks go for or be waiting near his bases, to run in when the enemy moves his army out. If he leaves behind enough units to stop your harassment, his main army will be that much weaker at your front where your main army is defending. If he brings his whole army back, he can't attack you. Doing this also keeps the enemy from scouting or expanding as efficiently because he will be on the defensive. In the later stages of the game nydus worms make it even easier to do.
I'm actually referring to the game he shows in that daily, where the zerg player does actually run his whole army into the terran base after the terran moves out, and I guess in that situation it worked because zerg was hitting terran's main, whereas terran's slower army was at a somewhat distant newer zerg expansion
this happens before either player is very high at all in their tech trees, no spire or nydus networks were even available I don't think
I do get what he's saying about using smaller forces to counterattack at opportune moments, I just don't think that particular moment was a super great example because it felt so risky
edit: I lied, there were mutalisks on the field, and also the terran didn't have stim so he was that much slower

Yeah I thought about it some more and I think what he meant was more that the faster zerg army could get to the terran's main base and sack it before the terran army could slog its way through the zerg defenses to the zerg base and do the same, forcing the terran to retreat to defend his main.
It might just be because I woke up but I think the gap is larger, 1400 minerals 225 gas on the terran side. So double minerals then gas.
If blizzard time is true time, it should be in a few weeks. I might be able to micro again due to the ping drop. Wooo.
And also have a pool of people to play with.
