Eh, I am just not a fan of motion controls.

Some motion controls are kinda fun and add to a game. Some are dumb.

This trend of trying to impose motion controls on the future of gaming or whatevs is a terrible idea and should stop. They are shrinking their customer base by excluding people with physical limitations due to disabilities or health issues.

Aiming the controller at the screen and the occasional shake is one thing, but having to stand up and and move around the whole time to play a game excludes people in wheelchairs or that tire out easily due to chronic fatigue or similar conditions.

the motion plus add on will make those super tiresome "twist to open a door" things more immersive. In say, Call of Duty 4, it was horrible and very annoying.

but really, the motion plus stuff is pretty fun to play, like the swordfighting in Sports Resort.

So uhhh, I remember reading something recently about Suda 51 that mentioned him and Grasshopper being excited about working on Nintendo's next console...

speculation? The Wii has brought in roughly a hojillion dollars so who knows what Nintendo's RND has been doing.

I got my NES for Xmas one year, and I was so excited about it that I didn't even realize that the system didn't come with a game.

My father, who had bought it for me, pointed this sad fact out to me and my heart sank until he said "What's that present up on the mantle above the fireplace?"

I ran over and grabbed it, saw that it was indeed the proper shape and size for a game box and was for me and tore it open.

I played Super Mario Bros. 2 for the next month straight.

I remember convincing my dad to buy us Mario 2 on a trip to the city. Then I spent the rest of the day reading the manual and WAITING until we got home.

The idea of a manual is nostalgic in and of itself. Manuals these days are like three pages of what the controller does and warnings for those susceptible to seizures.

You never played Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.

Look, Crash Warped was awesome and all but have you ever played Mario Galaxy?

Yeah, it sucked a harry piece.

Ratchet is my [strike]man[/strike] anthropomorphic animal.

Jax and Daxter wasn't bad, the first one at least. Very solid platforming.

    Also Sly Cooper.

I played Jak and Daxter and loved it

But for some reason I never got around to playing 2 or 3

Uncharted walks all over it though, so I'm glad they went with something new unlike Insomniac (R&C is pretty damn stale at this point)

I think comments were just being made because Uncharted is why Jak and Daxter were abandoned by Naughty Dog, basically

I absolutely loved the original Jak and Daxter.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed when the series went all gritty and gun-focused in place of the colorful platformer that the first one was.

    Well stop

Popular games can also be very good

The first Jak and Daxter was pretty aces

Kinda hoping that, with the kick they're on now (between GoW, Sly and Ico/SOTC), they do a Jak and Daxter Collection for PS3 so I can give the other two a shot

It also had really fluid combat.
