I'm not sure where you guys are going to spawn, or if you'll have your inventories. It's likely your inventories will get wiped. I'm hoping you'll spawn at the default spawn location that I've plunked down. If not, this might get a little messy.

I bet halkun's model would fit in Alpha if he cut it in half and duplicated some of the middle bits. Half can be the saucer section plus a few decks. Other half can be the remaining decks, with some duplication of decks at the top. Unleash the multiplayer hounds, let's build it up, maybe get some redstone circuitry going.
If the map height is ever increased, we can merge the two pieces and clean up where the join happens.

That's what I want to do. I was having a blast building a huge road from the suspension bridge to /homestead.
Okay. That took longer than I expected, but that was because I downloaded it and closed the FTP thing on the server and it cleaned up after itself and deleted the map off the server's temp folder, so I had to do it twice. -_-
I expect some lag as this sorts itself out, but the server is up. I've lowered the player cap to 20 for now to deal with the new map. I'm also not going to run the backup utility for a bit.
There are NO WARPS yet. I have to set them back up once we get everything running.

I've taken the time to catch up on almost 20 pages of minecraft thread that happened since I went to bed last night. You silly gooses are a chatty bunch!
New map is very very exciting. I can't wait to open up the Serge Heavy Industries(tm) mining and roadworks company!
When the server first initializes in multiplayer, it needs to do a lot of stuff. Most of the problem right now is all the changes I made to the water, which has to re-settle. When you move within range, that shit loads, and starts calculating. Visibly, nothing'll happen because the water's fine, but if twenty of you are fucking fanning out in all directions from the middle and making it do a million water calcs, we're doomed.
I'm going to limit the player cap to 10 until the server settles.
