It's just an outgrowth of misogyny. Some men view women as a piece of meat and view them in a sexual nature every time. They rate and score them in their head. They automatically assume the same in gay men and are scared of being put through the same mental gymnastics and sexual objectivism that they use.
I don't see how anyone can be certain we'll have a Republican president after the next election, but it doesn't seem so far-fetched.
Yeah I can't think of anyone they currently have that can take Obama. Just because people don't think he's a super hope machine anymore doesn't mean he can't take dudes like Romney.
Obama could easily lose or win, and saying that any specific outcome is guaranteed is rather silly. If you'd told people in October 2004 that Democrats would hold majorities in both chambers after 2006, you'd be met with skepticism. Two years is an eternity in politics.
your libido is monstrous and unkillable, I'm sure even in the event of a tactical nuclear strike it'd manage to emerge intact from the rubble, mutated into an unquenchable many headed beast, each one with an equally suggestive and talented mouth, like some kind of sex hydra.

Having just weighed in at an awesome 194 today I welcome the open objectification of my body by any and all parties.
If that woman's cleavedge made one more person pick the game up off the shelf, it was a net positive for microprose. And to be blunt, if taking her top off could have increased sales enough to get a sequel, I'd endorse it 100000% because I like playing great games.

Yep kind of like people who cheat are super suspicious of those who they date. They know what they think of women and don't want some hot young thing with taught biceps rock hard abs thrusting his way to freedom in their love nest, just liberating the shit out of their ass, with each thrust the desire to fight back lessens and they lean into it, hoping that he'll at least call this time.
i know i didn't expect the democrats to suck so much with a strong, popular president, a 60-vote majority in the senate and a comparable majority in the house.
i know that the economy sucks, but the fact that there's such an enormous backlash on the right and such a glum left is a problem of their own paralysis and shitty party discipline.

I'm just saying you can't look at the landscape right now and be like "oh repub will def win in 2012."

That backlash on the right is getting pretty limpwristed.
I'll be getting it from GameFly in the next day or so and will report. Reviews aren't too promising.
But the concept of being between CoD and BC has apparently been true so far.
Dunno how that's a problem. Some people complained about the "staticness" of the battlefield. But truth be told, if I were to just boot up BC2 to burn 20 minutes, I always pick Port Valdez.

from what i can tell, those retards in ben franklin outfits are still choking mad at something they can't quite describe. i think that the GOP can still parley it into a congressional majority this midterm.
and even if they don't they'll pick off all the moderate democrats and cow the rest into even more inaction
Browsing the thread over in G&T it sounded pretty positive from the people who have actually played the game.
Either way I'll pick it up for the single player campaign. I had a lot of fun with MW2s campaign (although I'm still annoyed I never found anyone to do the co-op stuff with. Filthy console gamers the lot of you!)

the joystiq review says that the single-player is distinct and pretty good

We've got this sushi / asian fusion place that the celebrities hang out at. The wife and I go once or twice a year because it's about $200 for drinks and sushi.

but the multiplayer is just a poor-man's MW2
I have not read the Joystiq review, No sir.
But the ones I have have been the exact opposite.
"Multiplayer is okay, if a little weak. Single player is bug city and kinda crap."
But to be honest, the latest review I read was IGN's. They complained of "whack a mole" style gameplay... which reminds me very much of MW's method of "hide behind this object and poke out and shoot the guy that's just standing there".
hey Will, given access to the usual array of stores in a city where would you go to get a suit if you needed it fairly quickly? Preferably for less than $500 but that's not a hard limit.
edit: oh and none of that "I'm wearing a suit cut for someone 8 inches shorter than I am and look like an utter tool" bullshit.
What you think "makes sense" has nothing to do with reality. It just has to do with your life experience. And your life experience may only be a small smidgen of reality. Possibly even a distorted account of reality at that. So what this means is that, beginning in the 20th century as our means of decoding nature became more and more powerful, we started realizing our common sense is no longer a tool to pass judgment on whether or not a scientific theory is correct. - Neil Degrasse Tyson

I am comforted by Richard Dawkins’ theory of memes. Those are mental units: thoughts, ideas, gestures, notions, songs, beliefs, rhymes, ideals, teachings, sayings, phrases, clichés that move from mind to mind as genes move from body to body. After a lifetime of writing, teaching, broadcasting and telling too many jokes, I will leave behind more memes than many. They will all also eventually die, but so it goes. - Roger Ebert, I Do Not Fear Death

hmm
you're in seattle, right?
it looks like brooks brothers has a seattle store. they'll probably have something for around $500.
also J Crew has some decent suits for less than $500 IIRC, but they tend to be cut for slimmer dudes. might be worth checking out.
you could go to jos a banks, but i wasn't really impressed with their stuff
i recommend against men's wearhouse; their stuff is shitty quality and their style is kind of chintzy.
i guess macy's is hit-or-miss. i wouldn't really recommend it, but in a pinch i guess it would do.
also, you can get a basic, workmanlike suit at target for around $100. i have no idea how it would wear, but pretty much no one in seattle will be able to tell the difference anyways.
edit: oh yeah none of these are the stupid-looking short jacket highwaters super-skinny pants thing. these are fairly classically cut suits. J Crew apparently has two cuts; one for slimmer, athletic dudes and one that is more classically cut. neither is that hipster bullshit.

if you are ever back in boston we can hit up some fancy restaurants
for a part of the country with such shitty culinary origins, boston has a fantastic restaurant scene.
Ha! That is indeed a funny and informative article.
