I've been hoarding boatman's coins until I hit the level cap, so if I get any possessed claws I'll let you know.

If I find another possessed axe I'm going to respec Necro so I can have my own crows tear my eyes out.

I'm not really sure what the point of Boatman's Coins are. I mean, I know you can buy things from Vulgrim with them, but is that it? I don't really want to toss them down the drain 10 at a time for some random epic item that may not even be comparable to what I'm currently wearing.

The only times I use lockon is with the gun/chain and when I'm in reaper form to focus down specific enemies because sometimes the hit detection can be wonky.

    Because fuck liches. Seriously.

Liches are so fucking annoying as a Necromancer, because its Ghouls look exactly the same as my Ghouls, and I have no idea what's going on half the time.

Yeah, all the ones you collected get put back, but the things you bought with them stay with you.

  • LanrutconLanrutcon Registered User regular
I am so fucking proud of myself. I spent 20 minutes staring at a well hidden collectible, unable to figure out how to get to it...and then it struck me. Turned out that getting to the damn thing involved doing something incredibly unorthodox in a manner that the game doesn't ever even hint at.

I'm rather impressed with the variety of puzzles so far.

I'm loving how whenever I'm about to leave a room and the doorway is blocked, Death's raw annoyance rolls off of him in waves while he waits for the enemies to show up. For somebody who wears an expressionless mask for the entire game, Death's surprisingly emotive.

Not only did Twilight Princess let you do exactly that, but Ocarina of Time did as well, although it was an optional ability that you had to explore to find in the latter.

Eh I think I beat all of TP's dungeons in one go so it never came up, I'll take your word for it. And OoT had the green teleporty thing, but couldn't you only jump between two points? And you'd have to set your outside one ahead of time. I don't know if it's a bug but DS2 has been saving all my dungeon waypoints, been quite nice.

Did either Zelda game let you save in the middle of the dungeon? I feel like it's always booted you back to the start of the dungeon when you get back into it. This is all just reminding me it's been too long since I've played a Zelda game... bah.

In any case. I had possessed gauntlets for a little while, they were right sweet. And what's wrong with possessed axes?! I love mine, it's awesome.

How is it the worst part of the game when you guys keep doing it waaaaaaaaay before you're ready to? The enemies have level indicators on their names, you should know if you're ready to do an area or not.
So why do the sidequests for those areas unlock 6 hours before you're supposed to do them, then? Of course people are going to get frustrated when the game presents them with a quest to clear out a dungeon, and then they get 90% of the way through it before suddenly running into a brick wall because their numbers aren't high enough.

It's a symptom of a larger problem, which is that the RPG levelling is tacked on and adds nothing of value to the game. I'm starting to appreciate the derivativeness of the original Darksiders. With Darksiders 2, in pretty much every case where they diverge from Zelda the game is worse for it.

You can still beat those bosses if you're good enough and don't mind dying a lot before you get the perfect attempt in. Some people couldn't deal with Gorewood at a lower level but others managed to beat him for example. Personally I like this system because "overleveled boss" is the only challenging thing in this game

I like it as well. I killed him at level 2 when I found him randomly just exploring. I didn't realize at first that I wasn't actually supposed to be able to kill him. And after it dawned on me I was just too stubborn to quit.

He's actually really easy when you get the timing and animations down.

Beat the game. Pretty good stuff. I feel like overall, Darksiders 1 was a more enjoyable game. Death is a better character though.

Some of the bosses and enemies got a little bullshitty towards the end there, so i had to bump it to easy =\

I'm wary of going there, since I only have 4 or 5 of the artifacts with the directions. Can it be done without all of them?

Currently going back and getting all of the previously inaccessible chests/finding more secret stuff, before moving on to the 4th world. I only have one GnoMAD, but I know I passed by another. Just can't remember where it was.

I tried to do it without all the direction artifacts, but it would just take too long and the fights as you get deeper into it aren't easy so I broke down and googled a forum post somewhere with the directions I was missing to the secrets/exit. Even with them it's more than a little difficult. I can't imagine wandering around in the mazes looking for the exits without something though. Without some serious luck in the lower floors you'd be wandering quite a long time.

Beat it today....having 20% life steal on your scythes kinda takes the challenge out of the game especially for things like waves of regular enemies. will wait a bit to talk about the ending, dont wanna spoil anything for people.

Those damn stones are not easy to find. I think i got maybe a total of a dozen, and like 8 of them were blue. I have less then 10 book of the dead pages to find. got all the gnome statues, I'm actually running out of room in my inventory for scythes because i havent sold/fed any of my possessed ones and they are still in my inventory along with all the legendaries ive found.

  • GrevadosGrevados Lord of Loserdom Check the titleRegistered User
Hmm...and here I was concerned that Vulgrim was behaving downright ethically, since he was mailing me any legendaries I didn't have space for when I found them. Thinking it's a bug, but I can't buy multiple possessed weapons from him without quitting the game and restarting it.

You kidding me? I'm 3/4 through Act 2, I've found 20+ blue stones, 2 yellow, 8 red so far. Sadly blue stones are shitty and reds are the super awesome ones.

Blarg, screw Sentinel's Gaze. Get to it the first time, don't have the ability to get into the proper dungeon. Come back with it, and there's no boss, just an end room with one of those invisible monsters that I assume I will be getting the ability to see/fight later in the story.

So I know that you can feed your possessed weapons other items, but I don't know how to do it. Does it require a certain amount of progression in the main quest? I'm starting to have to sell or scrap items to make room.
