Free virtual amp?

I'm looking for a free virtual amp so I can plug my electric violin into the mic port on my computer and use it as an amp. I'm looking around on google, but I cant seem to find anything. Does anyone know of any?

    www.reaper.fm has an amp modeler plugin. it isn't really that great, but it's free-ish and gets the job done
