There was something really funny about Kristen Schaal yelling "FUCK MOSES."

Also, I really don't like how we get a completely different Huckabee on The Daily Show than we get pretty much anywhere else. He's really disingenuous.

Wasn't that basically what Jon was talking about? "Measured language versus rhetoric" or something?

"Fuck Moses" worked great because of the timing and complete 180 she did on the tone. Shit came out of nowhere. I used to fucking hate Schaal but she's gotten awesome recently with her timing.

I liked the part where Huckabee was like, "The Bible, the Torah, the Koran, these were not written with the intention that people would revise it every once in a while."

Except for, you know, ALL THE TIME: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_canon

I haven't laughed so hard in a long time than during the British etiquette segment.

I lost it when it showed the close-up of Colbert's stuffed face. The guy sounded like he was about to have a meltdown over all the violations of tea time.

    But politely, because he's British.

That was a very fast title change.

the GOP shouldn't give a rats ass about them since they won't vote for them. If someone won't vote for you they might as well not exist.

My father just walked in during the Quetzalcoatl/Chewing on Glasses bit, I tried to explain that it was a parody of Glenn Beck and he called Stewart a moron and refused to explain why.

If that's the best he's got to say about it, it means Stewart's efforts worked. He distilled the bullshit to a level people can see it and your father was angry that he couldn't own up to it.

Anyone else catch the Starfleet badge on the chalkboard?

I'm honestly really surprised Jon Stewart didn't get some more good acting gigs. Maybe he's improved a lot over the last few years, but if he had this potential before he did The Daily Show, some movie people were missing out big time. He also has really blue eyes as shown by the enormously close close-ups.

Glenn Beck quote: "Search your feelings and know what's true."

Apparently, Glenn is taking quotes from Darth Vader?

There was a croissant next to a Star Fleet badge on that board.

If Mark Hamil walked on stage and they broke into fisticuffs, it still wouldn't have snapped me out of the gag. The best part of the gag, for me, was noticing the bizarre and strange things scattered about it.

We don't even care... whether we care or not...

there was a Burger King logo in between the croissant and the Starfleet badge

that's the only one I don't get why it was there. all the other ones are vaguely sickle / crescent shaped

I'd say the Burger King logo was kind of a reference to the Tea Parties and founding fathers, fighting against the King of England (Burgers). On that same note, it could also be a reference to Obama TAXING WITHOUT REPRESENTATION WARGLE BARGLE!

It could have also been completely random.

my boy you are so pedestrian.

the crescent-like shape in the burger king logo shows how the muslims secretly control all american fast food and are using it to make us fat in a 100 year plan to eradicate us and claim our freedom in the name Islam and Osama, and the Chinese.

that's it, I'm shutting this entire forum down, everyone thank buttcleft

How many times has Jon done a full on Beckisode?

    There was:

    - The 11/3 project about Beck's organs being at risk.

    - The Libertarian Conservative bit about our new muppet overlord.

    - And this most recent one.

I'm thinking there might've been a 4th or more, but I'm unsure and a search on the Daily Show site itself shows nearly 20 pages of hits for Glenn Beck.

Jon's Beck bits are good in small doses (imo), I enjoy them but after the first minute or two it gets a little stale. But I got the impression that last night was the "final" (*assuming Beck doesn't do something really juicy) bit they would waste on him.
