Jonathan Black was born into a upper middleclass family in Newport, Rhode Island. The son of Gregory Black, a publicly well known sociologist who had articles published in a few well received journals and had taught on occasion at Brown university, and his wife Diana. Gregory was somewhat well known for view on mutants that extremists would call sympathetic, and sympathizers would call far too moderate or "safe". In other words he positioned himself in the intellectual world in a relatively safe position where he could plausibly deny himself should he have to. Neither him nor his wife were mutants. Nor was his youngest child, Nora. Jonathan's emergence as a mutant was a tad abrupt or that is to say the family was in potential denial about it. Perhaps that isn't true, its just that he showed other symptoms. As he was growing up he seemed borderline autistic; odd twitching and the like served as the signs of his mutant nature. Unfortunately they also came across as psychosis or something else. Unsurprising considering the psionic nature of Jonathan's powers. And more disappointing when after years of being a borderline recluse in the family, Jonathan opened up to the family but so did the nature of the problem.
Jonathan abruptly left his home to save his family anymore pain and eventually fell in with shady man named only as Brenan who spotted him at a point of vulnerability. He was offered a job as a courier of sorts . It was mainly low-level sabotage. He was paired up with another mutant after a year on board, when confronted by several security forces. The other mutant proceeded to butcher them even after they laid there arms down and attempted to flee . When it was clear that he was going to continue in his slaughter, Vane attacked him. Unfortunately Vane didn't show mercy to the mutant either.
After the episode he left the employ of Brenan.
Vane has been described by Professor Xavier to recruiters as a Psionic Transmitter. Someone with the ability to deconstruct and reconstruct materials around him according to his will and manipulate them to a desired effect. The amount of power said item holds likely depends on how much energy is exerted and how trained Vane's will is.
As it has been hypothesized that he has been active for at least a year, it seems that he turned ability into an art form of sorts allow items to temporarily become placed on his body or be flung with energy. It appears he does this largely subconsciously. Which has its good parts and its bad parts. It frees his body, but his mind is simply a different beast than that of a telekinetic or telepathy.
Vane has very few relationships that he has maintained. Lacking a normal childhood, he had very few friends if any. At best he could call them acquaintances. His family was well to him despite the fact that something always seemed off with him, and he grew up thinking well of them. If not the rest of humanity and this was before learning he was a mutant. Even after that his brushes with mutants have not been so kind to him, after all the only one he had really gotten to know he killed. And that sort of puts a label on him. And in Vane's mind mutants are actually rather similar to humans just a lot more powerful. Which is what makes them so scary. He doesn't expect to win hearts at the school.

Growing up in the hills of Scotland, Gabriel always had a bit of a unique view of things. He was born and raised in the quiet town of Stonehaven where his father, Bruce, was a wealthy business man and had still had many connections with the military from his time in the service. After Gabriel was born his mother split and left his now single father alone with his child. While Gabriel was always the apple of his father's eye, it slowly became worse and worse as the years went by and pretty soon Gabe could get away with almost anything without too much consequence. When Gabe really wanted something all he had to do was lay on the thinnest layer of a guilt trip and his father would give him what he wanted. Gabriel became interested in martial arts at a young age, and his father nurtured that interest by hiring private tutors to teach him whatever he wanted.
Gabriel has an estranged relationship with his father. Once his powers manifested Gabriel didn't know what to do, everything he touched exploded and his eyes started to become a brighter and brighter shade of blue until there was nothing there except a bright blue color that seemed to be white in the middle and turn to blue as it approached the edge. Not knowing what to do Gabriel's father sent him to the Xavier school without so much as consulting his son about it, nor has he told any of his relatives where he shuttled his only child off to, except that it was a school that was more apt to handle his son's unique abilities. However, that isn't to say his father doesn't love him...he just doesn't know how to deal with him. Every month Gabriel gets money deposited into his account, and it is more than enough to live on considering that he is still in school. Before his mutant powers began to emerge Gabriel dressed a bit like a preppy character. His father always had enough money to buy him what he wanted and what he really liked was nice clothes. While he didn't participate in any school sports Gabriel was most certainly an active person, studying many different types of martial arts, he would often go rock-climbing with his friends, and would usually slack on his homework to spend time scuba-diving or running across the hills of Scotland. While he didn't have many friends, Gabriel has a close bunch of about five friends that he really cared about, and feels isolated since he was ripped away from them so abruptly.
Gabriel has been described as a bit of a basher of sorts. He isn't afraid to get into a fight, and he got his nickname the "Guardian Angel" from his friends who would say he always showed up in the nick of time to save them from whatever trouble they were about to get into. To say that Gabriel can't control his powers isn't absolutely true, while he can't control his ability to charge anything he touches with his hands (animate or inanimate objects) he has learned to siphon off a small amount of that power and use it to provide himself with a few "gifts" as he likes to refer to them. He can heal from his wounds at an accelerated pace by pumping his body full of his charged energies, this same process allows him to fly at incredible speeds. In fact he has taken to the sky so much that it's fairly common to see him floating in his room when he's alone, or flying high above to school to get some peace and quiet in the clouds, as of yet he still hasn't approached any of the other X-Men to fly with him. He has however approached a few of the more melee inclined instructors to help him improve upon his already impressive arsenal of hand-to-hand combat maneuvers, he is currently on par with Beast, and he can already best Cyclops, and Gambit in close combat only fights, however his ultimate goal is to be able to beat Captain America, Wolverine, and even the mighty Thor in close combat drills.
Gabriel has a slight problem with authority and has been known to fly away when things aren't going his way (and when it would be a very bad idea to punch something).

A baby in a basket, sitting in the rain in front of a gate. One couldn't ask for much more of a cliche, but that's how the boy that came to be known as Jubal began. His would-be parents chose the largest mansion they could find to abandon their son at, which happened to be the abode of Professor Xavier. The Professor took in the outcast, and raised him in a separate part of the mansion. When he was old enough, he began to take classes with the rest of the mutant children. And that's when things got interesting. He began to out-perform everyone else, academically. Wildly. Before too long, he was having extended discussions with the Professor about scientific achievements, philosophy; anything the Professor will talk to him about. He very fervently hopes that he can go off to work with Mr. Fantastic or Tony Stark in the near future. Soon the boy became so bored in his classes that he began to utilize his time better. During class he began tinkering, designing his mobile computer hacking assistant and gloves that allowed him to store electricity in them. He also began extended training regimens with the more combat-oriented X-Men. While not his area of expertise, he is learning quickly, and designed kali sticks to his specifications to help him along in that area.

One night, along a random city pavilion, a young street magician was plying his trade. "Come one, come all, and see the world's most accurate knife thrower practice his trade!" Of course, a person doing this usually wanted cash, and James Kagor and his associates kept drawing it in via bets on where he was going to throw the knife next. Small at first, but after a few double-or-nothing throws, they usually manage to rig the last one to sucker in their unwary bettor and rake in enough to last a few days, upon which they would be back out suckering in new bettors, repeating over and over.
Unlike many who are declared mutants, however, James' abilities did not all come at once, nor was there a single moment where everything came together and amplified into whatever powers any single mutant had. He simply one day during his knife-throwing sets, simply discovered he could hit anywhere om the target, at any distance, at any angle. The others came in slowly, only revealing themselves when they were needed. His business skills kept them hidden under the public's eye. But not the eyes of those he had fleeced. They were the ones who started the whispers - slowly, but building as of late that his skills weren't natural, that only a mutant could be that skilled with a knife. James did the best he could, but one man cannot do much against the tide of accusations that being tossed against him.
And so he ran, to where only he knew, and only he knew what he was going to do in the days ahead of him.
There are a few people James knows, but running from everyone tends to dampen the relationship. These are the people he knew best before the whispers started:
Jimmy "The Saint" Vabak - Essentially James' right hand man, he helped rig the scenarios to extract the maximum amount of money from those the group targeted. The agency hunting James is also interested in him, but to a much lesser extent. Refers to James exclusively as Steel, a shortened version of his nickname in the group, which is "Steel Dagger." Nicknamed The Saint simply because he is skilled in playing the part upfront but willing to backstab in a heartbeat.
Jessica "Flashpoint" Zantorian - The charmer of the group, she drew people in to their games of chance, and usually acted as the host, and handled the cash. She and her brother Brad met up with Jimmy and James a few years ago in search of a get rich quick scheme. The group usually attributes the creation of their schemes to her. Nicknamed Flashpoint since she can come up with or alter something in a flash.
Brad "Cobalt" Zantorian - The enforcer, he makes sure things don't get out of hand when a customer eventually loses big on James' toss of the knife. Skilled at many forms of combat, he is the one that most liley looking out for the group. Called Cobalt due to acting in a flash when needed, and liked the color blue.
Cary Kagor - James' older sister. Taught him the basics of the magician's skills he knows.

She was born in Los Angles, California to a well-off loving multiracial family - a family she hasn't seen since she was eleven years old when she was abducted by human traffickers who attempted to sell her for her exotic Russian/Japanese looks. At the age of fourteen, after three years of abuse and enslavement in some Hong Kong mansion, something latent inside Svet awakened as the rage inside her heart manifested and razed the entire place to the ground in unnatural fire. When Svet appeared from the blaze unburnt, skin blood red, sporting claws and tail, she clearly knew she was no longer human.
From there? Needless to say there's not many options for a mentally unstable homeless draconian girl estranged from home in a culture not her own and who's wanted for murdering someone of rank. Svet did what she had to survive - join the underworld, working her way up on reputation from petty thugs to the cartels to higher levels of organized crime. Her monstrous transformation conferred a number of key traits: natural weaponry, unnaturally good senses, superhuman strength, and interpretable levels or durability that allowed her to make it out alive. And enough hatred and disgust for justice in the world to take the jobs. While acting as the child bruiser of these operations, Svet was smart enough to start picking up on the other aspects of the trade and improving on her knowledge. Tracking, thievery, breaking and entering, stealth and concealment, she added it all into her repertoire. And for that she was noticed.
At the age of sixteen the Hong Kong syndicate had taken her in as to not let such an asset go underutilized. Svet was given a crash course in education, culture, technology, and specialized training in acrobatics, weapons fighting, and esoteric combat arts. She was given the most stable shelter she had since childhood, good food, top quality clothing, security, and monetary stability of her own. In return she gave her oath to the syndicate and took the jobs to earn those privileges.
It was during these missions that Svet clashed against an aggravating magician and found out she had the aptitude in her own right when she was able to pick up one of his scrolls, understand it, and incant it against him. She's since studied the arts on the side and while she's no where near talented to pull off any impressive and flashy combat applications, the utility it's brought her has been boundless. Especially in the one spell she has most defiantly mastered - the creation and summoning of a spiritually attunes soul weapon.
At eighteen Svet returned to the United States entering the Kingpin's custody upon him hearing of her past and talents and making certain arrangements. She has been a ward of the family since and Fisk has been like a second father to her.
While Svet has tracked down her family, she feels she has no place to return to her childhood home. Her family has no idea that she's alive, let alone that she's a mutant. Her parents still live in LA; her father a professional chef, her mother an activist lawyer. Her elder brother is a SHIELD operative now living in New York. All of them human.
In the professional world she goes by the alias of Fang. It's easy to remember, and has the ironic lack of creativity common in the superheroic world.

Like her draconian appearance might suggest, if there's one word to describe Svetlana Takahashi it's fire. Hot-blooded, emotional, aggressive, vulgar fire. Life has left Svet battle scars, and her coping skills are somewhat lacking for polite society. If there's one thing she lacks the most, it's self control.
While Svetlana has been on the other side of the law her entire adolescence she, contrary to some appearances and attitudes, is not a heartless bitch. She accepts a job as a job and acknowledges the possibility of collateral damage, but seeks to minimize any harm that comes to innocents. She takes no desire in villainy, nor heroism, in her jaded morality. Her maintains a jaded disrespect for law and authority.

Svetlana possesses superhuman levels of strength and durability, natural claws and tail, and immunity to all forms of fire. She has unnatural levels of hearing, taste, and can sense the personal heat signatures of people and objects around her.

Growing up in the hills of Scotland, Gabriel always had a bit of a unique view of things. He was born and raised in the quiet town of Stonehaven where his father, Bruce, was a wealthy business man and had still had many connections with the military from his time in the service. After Gabriel was born his mother split and left his now single father alone with his child. While Gabriel was always the apple of his father's eye, it slowly became worse and worse as the years went by and pretty soon Gabe could get away with almost anything without too much consequence. When Gabe really wanted something all he had to do was lay on the thinnest layer of a guilt trip and his father would give him what he wanted. Gabriel became interested in martial arts at a young age, and his father nurtured that interest by hiring private tutors to teach him whatever he wanted.
Gabriel has an estranged relationship with his father. Once his powers manifested Gabriel didn't know what to do, everything he touched exploded and his eyes started to become a brighter and brighter shade of blue until there was nothing there except a bright blue color that seemed to be white in the middle and turn to blue as it approached the edge. Not knowing what to do Gabriel's father sent him to the Xavier school without so much as consulting his son about it, nor has he told any of his relatives where he shuttled his only child off to, except that it was a school that was more apt to handle his son's unique abilities. However, that isn't to say his father doesn't love him...he just doesn't know how to deal with him. Every month Gabriel gets money deposited into his account, and it is more than enough to live on considering that he is still in school. Before his mutant powers began to emerge Gabriel dressed a bit like a preppy character. His father always had enough money to buy him what he wanted and what he really liked was nice clothes. While he didn't participate in any school sports Gabriel was most certainly an active person, studying many different types of martial arts, he would often go rock-climbing with his friends, and would usually slack on his homework to spend time scuba-diving or running across the hills of Scotland. While he didn't have many friends, Gabriel has a close bunch of about five friends that he really cared about, and feels isolated since he was ripped away from them so abruptly.
Gabriel has been described as a bit of a basher of sorts. He isn't afraid to get into a fight, and he got his nickname the "Guardian Angel" from his friends who would say he always showed up in the nick of time to save them from whatever trouble they were about to get into. To say that Gabriel can't control his powers isn't absolutely true, while he can't control his ability to charge anything he touches with his hands (animate or inanimate objects) he has learned to siphon off a small amount of that power and use it to provide himself with a few "gifts" as he likes to refer to them. He can heal from his wounds at an accelerated pace by pumping his body full of his charged energies, this same process allows him to fly at incredible speeds. In fact he has taken to the sky so much that it's fairly common to see him floating in his room when he's alone, or flying high above to school to get some peace and quiet in the clouds, as of yet he still hasn't approached any of the other X-Men to fly with him. He has however approached a few of the more melee inclined instructors to help him improve upon his already impressive arsenal of hand-to-hand combat maneuvers, he is currently on par with Beast, and he can already best Cyclops, and Gambit in close combat only fights, however his ultimate goal is to be able to beat Captain America, Wolverine, and even the mighty Thor in close combat drills.
Gabriel has a slight problem with authority and has been known to fly away when things aren't going his way (and when it would be a very bad idea to punch something).

A baby in a basket, sitting in the rain in front of a gate. One couldn't ask for much more of a cliche, but that's how the boy that came to be known as Jubal began. His would-be parents chose the largest mansion they could find to abandon their son at, which happened to be the abode of Professor Xavier. The Professor took in the outcast, and raised him in a separate part of the mansion. When he was old enough, he began to take classes with the rest of the mutant children. And that's when things got interesting. He began to out-perform everyone else, academically. Wildly. Before too long, he was having extended discussions with the Professor about scientific achievements, philosophy; anything the Professor will talk to him about. He very fervently hopes that he can go off to work with Mr. Fantastic or Tony Stark in the near future. Soon the boy became so bored in his classes that he began to utilize his time better. During class he began tinkering, designing his mobile computer hacking assistant and gloves that allowed him to store electricity in them. He also began extended training regimens with the more combat-oriented X-Men. While not his area of expertise, he is learning quickly, and designed kali sticks to his specifications to help him along in that area.

One night, along a random city pavilion, a young street magician was plying his trade. "Come one, come all, and see the world's most accurate knife thrower practice his trade!" Of course, a person doing this usually wanted cash, and James Kagor and his associates kept drawing it in via bets on where he was going to throw the knife next. Small at first, but after a few double-or-nothing throws, they usually manage to rig the last one to sucker in their unwary bettor and rake in enough to last a few days, upon which they would be back out suckering in new bettors, repeating over and over.
Unlike many who are declared mutants, however, James' abilities did not all come at once, nor was there a single moment where everything came together and amplified into whatever powers any single mutant had. He simply one day during his knife-throwing sets, simply discovered he could hit anywhere om the target, at any distance, at any angle. The others came in slowly, only revealing themselves when they were needed. His business skills kept them hidden under the public's eye. But not the eyes of those he had fleeced. They were the ones who started the whispers - slowly, but building as of late that his skills weren't natural, that only a mutant could be that skilled with a knife. James did the best he could, but one man cannot do much against the tide of accusations that being tossed against him.
And so he ran, to where only he knew, and only he knew what he was going to do in the days ahead of him.
There are a few people James knows, but running from everyone tends to dampen the relationship. These are the people he knew best before the whispers started:
Jimmy "The Saint" Vabak - Essentially James' right hand man, he helped rig the scenarios to extract the maximum amount of money from those the group targeted. The agency hunting James is also interested in him, but to a much lesser extent. Refers to James exclusively as Steel, a shortened version of his nickname in the group, which is "Steel Dagger." Nicknamed The Saint simply because he is skilled in playing the part upfront but willing to backstab in a heartbeat.
Jessica "Flashpoint" Zantorian - The charmer of the group, she drew people in to their games of chance, and usually acted as the host, and handled the cash. She and her brother Brad met up with Jimmy and James a few years ago in search of a get rich quick scheme. The group usually attributes the creation of their schemes to her. Nicknamed Flashpoint since she can come up with or alter something in a flash.
Brad "Cobalt" Zantorian - The enforcer, he makes sure things don't get out of hand when a customer eventually loses big on James' toss of the knife. Skilled at many forms of combat, he is the one that most liley looking out for the group. Called Cobalt due to acting in a flash when needed, and liked the color blue.
Cary Kagor - James' older sister. Taught him the basics of the magician's skills he knows.

Like most mutants, Svet lost her life at puberty, but to different circumstances. She was born in Los Angles, California to a well-off loving multiracial family - a family she hasn't seen since she was eleven years old when she was abducted by human traffickers who attempted to sell her for her exotic Russian/Japanese looks. At the age of fourteen, after three years of abuse and enslavement in some Hong Kong mansion, something latent inside Svet awakened as the rage inside her heart manifested and razed the entire place to the ground in unnatural fire. One night, along a random city pavilion, a young street magician was plying his trade. "Come one, come all, and see the world's most accurate knife thrower practice his trade!" Of course, a person doing this usually wanted cash, and James Kagor and his associates kept drawing it in via bets on where he was going to throw the knife next. Small at first, but after a few double-or-nothing throws, they usually manage to rig the last one to sucker in their unwary bettor and rake in enough to last a few days, upon which they would be back out suckering in new bettors, repeating over and over.
Unlike many who are declared mutants, however, James' abilities did not all come at once, nor was there a single moment where everything came together and amplified into whatever powers any single mutant had. He simply one day during his knife-throwing sets, simply discovered he could hit anywhere om the target, at any distance, at any angle. The others came in slowly, only revealing themselves when they were needed. His business skills kept them hidden under the public's eye. But not the eyes of those he had fleeced. They were the ones who started the whispers - slowly, but building as of late that his skills weren't natural, that only a mutant could be that skilled with a knife. James did the best he could, but one man cannot do much against the tide of accusations that being tossed against him.
And so he ran, to where only he knew, and only he knew what he was going to do in the days ahead of him.

Jimmy "The Saint" Vabak - Essentially James' right hand man, he helped rig the scenarios to extract the maximum amount of money from those the group targeted. The agency hunting James is also interested in him, but to a much lesser extent. Refers to James exclusively as Steel, a shortened version of his nickname in the group, which is "Steel Dagger." Nicknamed The Saint simply because he is skilled in playing the part upfront but willing to backstab in a heartbeat.
Jessica "Flashpoint" Zantorian - The charmer of the group, she drew people in to their games of chance, and usually acted as the host, and handled the cash. She and her brother Brad met up with Jimmy and James a few years ago in search of a get rich quick scheme. The group usually attributes the creation of their schemes to her. Nicknamed Flashpoint since she can come up with or alter something in a flash.
Brad "Cobalt" Zantorian - The enforcer, he makes sure things don't get out of hand when a customer eventually loses big on James' toss of the knife. Skilled at many forms of combat, he is the one that most liley looking out for the group. Called Cobalt due to acting in a flash when needed, and liked the color blue.

One night, along a random city pavilion, a young street magician was plying his trade. "Come one, come all, and see the world's most accurate knife thrower practice his trade!" Of course, a person doing this usually wanted cash, and James Kagor and his associates kept drawing it in via bets on where he was going to throw the knife next. Small at first, but after a few double-or-nothing throws, they usually manage to rig the last one to sucker in their unwary bettor and rake in enough to last a few days, upon which they would be back out suckering in new bettors, repeating over and over.
Unlike many who are declared mutants, however, James' abilities did not all come at once, nor was there a single moment where everything came together and amplified into whatever powers any single mutant had. He simply one day during his knife-throwing sets, simply discovered he could hit anywhere om the target, at any distance, at any angle. The others came in slowly, only revealing themselves when they were needed. His business skills kept them hidden under the public's eye. But not the eyes of those he had fleeced. They were the ones who started the whispers - slowly, but building as of late that his skills weren't natural, that only a mutant could be that skilled with a knife. James did the best he could, but one man cannot do much against the tide of accusations that being tossed against him.
And so he ran, to where only he knew, and only he knew what he was going to do in the days ahead of him.
There are a few people James knows, but running from everyone tends to dampen the relationship. These are the people he knew best before the whispers started:

Like most mutants, Svet lost her life at puberty, but to different circumstances. She was born in Los Angles, California to a well-off loving multiracial family - a family she hasn't seen since she was eleven years old when she was abducted by human traffickers who attempted to sell her for her exotic Russian/Japanese looks. At the age of fourteen, after three years of abuse and enslavement in some Hong Kong mansion, something latent inside Svet awakened as the rage inside her heart manifested and razed the entire place to the ground in unnatural fire. When Svet appeared from the blaze unburnt, skin blood red, sporting claws and tail, she clearly knew she was no longer human.
From there? Needless to say there's not many options for a mentally unstable homeless draconian girl estranged from home in a culture not her own and who's wanted for murdering someone of rank. Svet did what she had to survive - join the underworld, working her way up on reputation from petty thugs to the cartels to higher levels of organized crime. Her monstrous transformation conferred a number of key traits: natural weaponry, unnaturally good senses, superhuman strength, and interpretable levels or durability that allowed her to make it out alive. And enough hatred and disgust for justice in the world to take the jobs. While acting as the child bruiser of these operations, Svet was smart enough to start picking up on the other aspects of the trade and improving on her knowledge. Tracking, thievery, breaking and entering, stealth and concealment, she added it all into her repertoire. And for that she was noticed.
At the age of sixteen the Hong Kong syndicate had taken her in as to not let such an asset go underutilized. Svet was given a crash course in education, culture, technology, and specialized training in acrobatics, weapons fighting, and esoteric combat arts. She was given the most stable shelter she had since childhood, good food, top quality clothing, security, and monetary stability of her own. In return she gave her oath to the syndicate and took the jobs to earn those privileges.
It was during these missions that Svet clashed against an aggravating magician and found out she had the aptitude in her own right when she was able to pick up one of his scrolls, understand it, and incant it against him. She's since studied the arts on the side and while she's no where near talented to pull off any impressive and flashy combat applications, the utility it's brought her has been boundless. Especially in the one spell she has most defiantly mastered - the creation and summoning of a spiritually attunes soul weapon.
At eighteen Svet returned to the United States entering the Kingpin's custody upon him hearing of her past and talents and making certain arrangements. She has been a ward of the family since and Fisk has been like a second father to her.
While Svet has tracked down her family, she feels she has no place to return to her childhood home. Her family has no idea that she's alive, let alone that she's a mutant. Her parents still live in LA; her father a professional chef, her mother an activist lawyer. Her elder brother is a SHIELD operative now living in New York. All of them human.
In the professional world she goes by the alias of Fang. It's easy to remember, and has the ironic lack of creativity common in the superheroic world.

Like her draconian appearance might suggest, if there's one word to describe Svetlana Takahashi it's fire. Hot-blooded, emotional, aggressive, vulgar fire. Life has left Svet battle scars, and her coping skills are somewhat lacking for polite society. If there's one thing she lacks the most, it's self control.
While Svetlana has been on the other side of the law her entire adolescence she, contrary to some appearances and attitudes, is not a heartless bitch. She accepts a job as a job and acknowledges the possibility of collateral damage, but seeks to minimize any harm that comes to innocents. She takes no desire in villainy, nor heroism, in her jaded morality. Her maintains a jaded disrespect for law and authority.

Svetlana possesses superhuman levels of strength and durability, natural claws and tail, and immunity to all forms of fire. She has unnatural levels of hearing, taste, and can sense the personal heat signatures of people and objects around her.
More presently she's picked up a minor aptitude for general magic.

Svetlana takes double damage from cold attacks, and will complain vehemently about freezing temperatures. She receives the occasional order or asked favor from the Kingpin or his associates, as well as having to deal with his enemies and the enemies of organized crime. She suffers nightmares and flashbacks of traumatic events, has been emotionally scared, and has to occasionally deal with past contacts from her unfortunate adolescences in Hong Kong.
She also has a -really- quick fuse. And the feelings of invincibility to go with it.

The Sun's last rays of the day sweep over the tall buildings of New York City. Darkness began to take there place where it was. And as the sun's rays gave way to darkness, they found a face of a man deep in thought. A gentle hand found a place on this troubled man's shoulder. “Professor, you should come inside. The weather is getting colder now and you might freeze.” Storm said, she too looking towards the fading sunlight. “Prepare the guest bedroom. Logan is coming here in a few days to help with the extra duties.” Charles Xavier closed his eyes and tried to feel with his psychic powers for anything out there that might cause trouble for his students at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The problem wasn't the boy who had jumped the fence around the school to see Katy Singar but the fact that Katy and everyone else in this school was a mutant. People whose genes had given them strange and sometimes deadly powers. Most mutants didn't know what to do with their powers. Those mutants' lives became criminal or circus sideshows or worst. Professor Xavier didn't want that to happen to any mutant. He opened his school so that mutants could learn to control their powers and one day be able to live with the rest of the world and become successful and happy. Mostly happy. But the pasting of the Mutant Registration Act had hurt that dream. Now every mutant must have a license to live. Even worst, now mutants were being moved to concentration camps called “Mutant Zones” where life was worst for a mutant than ever before. Maybe Erik was right. Maybe Mutants and Humans could never live in peace. But he couldn't give up. There was a war coming. Xavier knew this. He just didn't know which side he should choose. “Professor!” Storm said again. Xavier opened his eyes and looked up at her. “Do me a favor. Let it be a cloudless night. Dr. McCoy would like to be able to see the grounds better.” Charles said as he rolled his wheelchair around and moved inside.
Dr. McCoy was walking around the school grounds near the garden his students had made this year. The coolness of fall would soon kill the last few flowers left and winter would harden the ground until Spring came back. The Beast was a gentle soul and couldn't help but smell the red flower in front of him. That's when a he felt a sharp sting in the side of his neck, followed by a few more and the Gentle Beast became the sleeping Beast.

Walking back to his room Gabriel stops by the kitchen and reaches into the fridge in the hopes of finding Logan's hidden stash of beer, still nothing...crap, settling for a soda he pops the top and takes a big gulp.

He paused for a moment. "Well I suppose if you were like mini-nuke man or some such nonsense.." . He looks around for a moment.
Deciding on a course of action. He sits down on his bed and puts on his sneakers and places on his jacket. In case the lounge is taken and he has to go exploring the dumpy areas of the mansion or go outside for a stroll to alleviate his boredom.
Elsewise it was cartoons or HBO. Vane exits his room and jumps onto to the couch rather instinctively. Hoping there wasn't someone watching the news.
"Sharp mind, sharp aim, sharp reflexes." he says below his breath, repeating the mantra he developed when training with his sister all those days ago.
Vane switches the Channel to Showtime. The only other individual in the room, a child mutant sits unflinchingly nearby the screen, doesn't seem to care about Vane's channel changing.
"Oooh "Dexter". I think you'll enjoy this, Jones."
"But if I don't increase the temperature range the emitters get calcified unless there's a neutronic pulse coming from somewhere but I don't have room for one of those so it's got to be some kind of resonating field that can OOOH PIZZA"
Jubal happily grabbed a slice from the box inside the fridge, warmed it up just enough to get the sauce hot, and sat with his prize.
Jones was a poor mutant. His powers allowed him to change channels on televisions and it kept him from needing sleep. Jones looked briefly at Vane before blinking twice and the lovable serial killer got another victim. "I liked the last season more than this one. The whole baby thing seems off..."
Jabal sat enjoying his pizza and soda. His ideas and calculations kept him busy. So busy he fail to notice the the S.W.A.T member outside the window. "We have one tango in area K1. Tango is unaware of our movements. Proceed with the mission."
James started towards the stairs for a run around the mansion when the window in front of him was smashed open by a smoke grenade followed by a armored S.W.A.T personal. "Get down on the ground or I will shot!" He said as more glass and screams began to fill the mansion. "I said get down!"
Order of actions normally go with the fastest character (Midnight Shadow) and the SWAT members have a speed of 3 (which is the speed of every one else except Mr. Wizard) so order of actions will Midnight Shadow, G3, Gabriel, G1, G2, Vane, G6, G4, G5, and Mr. Wizard. I'm going to write how we will do actions and what not on the OOC thread.
With a grin Gabriel trots off down the hallway and cocks back a fist, and uses his other hand to point at the nearest SWAT member, "OY! Boy-o, why don't you point that wee dart gun at someone your own size!"

G1 heads towards the stairs when he saw Gabriel attack G3. He fires a shot and it hits Gabriel in the chest. However, the tranquilizer dart isn't able to get through his armor to poison him. "Lupo! Switch to bags! Tranqs aren't working on this one!"
The S.W.A.T guys flip a switch on their guns and G2 moves next to G1. "It's got to charge but I'm hot!" Lupo says as he raises his gun towards Gabriel.
Once over at the tv, he quickly unplugs it and bends down next to Jones. He whispers
"Once I make my move , we make our way to the backdoor opposite the patio.."
He quickly murmurs "No use fighting.." Vane picks up the TV "If this doesn't work , just run for it without me. If it does I'll be right behind you. Hopefully few others are on their way.."
Referring to other mutants. He quickly winks . And then leans to the side of the door he was just peaking out. He gazes out again before rushing out, the flat screen in front of him, and ramming the special forces member into a wall.

Jones ran towards the back door, but G4 fired two tranquiler darts at him. The darts hit and Jones's steps become sluggish but he continues towards the back door. G5 moves to the Dining Room looking for any mutants hiding there.
He snuck a peak out into the hallway, just in time to hear Vane exert himself with using the very nice TV as a battering ram. Hopefully, that wouldn't distract him from helping Jubal out with his plan.
He was 98% sure that, short of hoping Jean was reading his mind at this minute, the best move was to get the mansion's security systems back on. Drawing his Kali sticks from his belt, he runs past the guard that just shot Jones, hoping that his speed and the angle he took the corner at would help throw off the man's aim.

From the Elevator, Colossus body slams G3 back into the wall and through it. G3 falls to the patio below and stops moving. "Gab, have you seen Kitty?" the Russian Tin man asked.
Jabbing the big man in the chest lightly Gabriel takes off down the hallway, let me show you how we play over in Scottland! Walking down the hallway towards one of the other guards Gabriel removes one of his gloves and grabs a pen that is laying on a desk. Charging it with glowing blue energy he throws it at one of the remaining SWAT members.

Jones keeps moving towards the exit, still woozy from the dart. He crawls to the door and struggles with the handle.
G6 tries to get the TV off him when 3 more S.W.A.T. members appear from the Professor's office with Professor Xavier and two other mutants. "Lee, what happen here?" G9 said as he picked the TV off G6. "This brat came out of nowhere and hit me with it! He when over that rubble there." G6 pointed towards the hall blocked off by Gabriel's hole.
"Forget him." G11 said before activating his headset. "We have Tango Alpha One. Repeat, Tango Alpha One. Xavier A.K.A Professor X. We have Tango Alpha Two, A.K.A Storm, and Tango Bravo Two, A.K.A Cyclopes. Requesting transport."
G6 looked at the others. "So, Reaper Team is coming?"
G10 lit a cigarette. "If so, I'd rather be gone when they get here."
G4 moved towards Jones until Vane popped out of the rubble. He fired a shot towards Vane, which hit him in the neck. Vane begins to feel the effects of the poison quickly.
G5 found two more mutants in the Dinning Room knocked them out with his rifle butt. He took Zip Ties from his belt and cuffed the mutants' hands together before calling his capture in. "I have Tango Charlie Niner, A.K.A Rogue, and Tango Alpha Eight, Jean Gray. Requesting Transport."
After that, he takes out his Kali sticks, still remembering the Gman behind him. He knows that he probably couldn't take the soldier in a fight; he's just hoping that the inevitable incoming shot hits his stick instead.

Pipe in hand he quickly darts across the room, attempting to get out of the way of what he presumes is the firing range of the defense turret (should it actually start to work) and over to Jones.
He eyes Jones wearily as he see his condition deteriorating, he quickly tries to locate the dart. Finding it on his upper right arm, he removes and throws it to the side. With his other arm he lifts Jones up.

G5 didn't even hesitate. "Get me the fuck out of here!"
Outside, one of the S.W.A.T leaders called through his hand radio "Reaper Team is here, fall back, FALL BACK!" At that time, two helicopters carrying one cargo box flew over his head. They didn't even bother to land but instead they released their chains and dropped the box into the front yard. The cargo box slide until it crashed right into the side of the mansion. The damage didn't break through the steel walls. Inside the cargo box, something stirred.

He heard such a commotion of steel scraping against steel in the elevator shaft a moment ago that he could only guess something had happened to Colossus.

Upon walking over to Gabe, he overhears what Colossus says, and upon hearing it goes down the stairs and starts to take inventory of the damage while making sure he isn't seen.
