I got a new batch of books from Amazon last week, so there have been a few "oh god damnit it's 3:30 am" moments this week. :P

    I really can't imagine this.
I know i don't read a lot. In fact i think the last thing i read was "I am America (and so can you)" on a flight in February.

But it's not like I'm proud of it, especially as someone who read a fucktonne as a child.

I'd read a lot more if I quit [chat].

Or I'd possibly just play more videogames.

I'd have read a lot more by now if I never played WoW.

As it is I kind of exclusively read while in transit.

I wish I could develop a meditation technique where I substitute sleep with reading.

Also, that I could afford more books.

When I was growing up we only went to town about once a fortnight, until i started high school in the town. So I was only able to get to the library rarely and in the end I managed to convince them to disregard their lending limits so I could borrow 20+ books at a time. They used to really love me right until I tried to check out Mein Kempf at sometime around age 10-12 - which ended in a phone call to the parents, who authorised it. It took them a while to understand I wasn't a budding Nazi!

I have a friend who claims to not have finished reading a single book in his life.

    But he is also dyslexic.

I can't do that any more. It's a 15-minute trip on the subway for me, and that's just not enough time for me to get into a book.

And now that I rearranged my living room I totally want a comfy couch in the corner for reading.

Heh, everyone skips the quest text and you know.

Old games used to have a ton of reading in them though, especially old RPGs.

It used to be a running joke in my guild that I'd wipe a group because I'd stopped to read a plaque/book/inscription in an instance

I have read every bit of lore in WoW that I have been exposed to.

I am a worse person because of it.

    EDIT:
Also, I often say about my dyslexic friend that he never read an entire book all the way through but think of how many RPGs he has read all the way through!

Used to be a running joke for me to just get distracted and stop healing while I looked at something shiny thereby wiping the group.

Or rather just wiping everyone but the tank and myself.

This is why we had to tear down all the mirrors in the house. I lost days, DAYS of my life at a time to those things.

Going out in public is always a gamble.

When I stare longingly into a girls eyes I'm really just fishing for my own reflection.

I just read a comment on an article on D3 that I think just literally broke my brain:

"Remember the times when Diablo used to be MORE than a generic rpg/diablo-clone with wow graphics?

    Yeh...those were the times."

When you beat the D3 demo you went to a room with the diablo logo and then suddenly a double rainbow arced across the background.

Then a constant swarm of meteors pummeled you until you died.

The ironic part, of course, is that we are all reading right now, an incredible amount even.

We just aren't reading books (or, often, anything of value really).
