Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Problems with Gmail Mobile/Samsung Blackjack
So I'm messing around with Google's little mobile Gmail Java app, which lets you manage your Gmail account from your phone. This would be awesome (sending/receiving email normally is treated as a text message, which means I get charged every time. That is
really gay), if it actually worked. I get the following error whenever I try to use the app:
This program can't access Gmail until you grant it permission to send and receive data over the network
I
looked it up on Google's help center, which basically told me what I already knew. Unfortunately, the BlackJack doesn't seem to do things the same way. Even better, the damn user manual (whose link provided on the packaged CD was broken; I had to track down a PDF copy of it from some forum) says jack shit about network access permissions.
So, does anyone have a clue how to set the permissions I need to get this thing to work?
