So if the Klingons are low pop, then who do the feds PVP against?
You just have to queue and wait a real long time for some PvP. I tried doing PvP last night on my fed character and what happened though was that when we got in the lead, the Klingon players cloaked and hid. After 30 minutes, everyone on the fed side decided to leave.
Cryptic really needs to balance PvP to make it more fair and not allow the Klingons to cloak like this. I had heard though that PvP has been like this since launch, so that feature is pretty much useless.

You can also PvP against other feds. In terms of queued PvP there's "kill x number of the opposition" Arena maps and Capture and Hold maps, which are usually more popular. There's also an open warzone PvPvE map where Feds and Klingons are supposed to compete to see who can destroy a Borg repair facility first (which is full of Borg Spheres and Cubes) but usually ends up with a lot of the Klings and Feds ignoring that part and fighting amongst themselves. Also note that kyleh613 is at a low level and PvP is more commonly played at higher levels, especially at the endgame.
Yes, I know there's a new thread but this needed a reply and this thread has yet to be locked. :P
I'm FINALLY about to get to a non-newbie ship, and I have a decision to make on what kind.
I've seen many different descriptions of each class of ship, up to and including "well, they all kind of have roles but really they don't because X can actually be really good at Y if you equip it with Z".
What do you guys think is good for an Engineer? Science vessels seem mildly interesting but I don't want to be totally gimped in space combat.
I am leaning toward Cruiser still because I am assuming that Escorts are just every damn where.
*edit* i got a science vessel. it just looked cool.
