It's notorious for not working correctly on Mac OSX. Other than that...it's a folder. It opens...and it closes. That's about all the functionality that it has.

What exactly is not working about it? Are you putting .zip files in there? They have to be .zip. .rar doesn't work. I tried. Are you compressing the textures into a zip yourself, or are you downloading them that way? If you're compressing them yourself, they have to be a certain way. Most of the packs you get now will be pre-made and ready to go.

It's a piece of cake, Rane. You just take the terrain.png out of the zip file and you open it with an image editor, and then you save it, and you put it back into the zip file. Make sure minecraft's close and it'll be hunky dory.

When you launch the client, just give it five minutes before you shut it down. Sometimes there's a long timeout before it recognizes it's not going to connect; once it does, it'll give you the option to play in offline mode.

it already is. the red hair dye didnt lift properly, i have natural roots and the ends of my hair are the only parts that are the colour i want.

I am going to dye over it in a caramelly colour. hopefully the red won't show through THAT much...
