Actually, a techie understanding binary makes total sense. I'm just not sure why he'd understand many other languages, given he's spent most of his life tinkering with gadgets/robots/space ships...

Sakutian, can we hold on to bonus languages for later, so we can pick up a language as we go?

Yeah, that's an easy one. I suppose there's no reason I couldn't come up with a couple childhood friends who taught Kudak a bit of their language or something, but that just feels contrived... and also a bit against the "grew up as a loner" kind of vibe I was getting from the character. I still have a bit more time to think about it, anyway- thanks for the input :)

El Skid you could learn some languages while the party progresses. Maybe from one of the characters or purchasing a holo from a merchant.

You might have picked up a language during the period that the Imperials were occupying Dac. Regardless yeah you can hold onto your bonus languages until later on if you want to.

Psolms - I can't see us meeting in any really exciting way - Dewlanrirr is pretty low key. Maybe Tissen was just looking for someone to look scary and Dewy had run out of credits and was looking for a job? How long do you think they've known each other?

Sakutian quick question about grenades. When you roll attack with them are they considered a range attack or do i just roll a 1d20 without any bonuses? Can't seem to find any info on the subject.

I believe that grenades are considered a ranged attack so you get the usual bonuses for them.

Yep, you roll your normal ranged attack roll (d20 + BAB + DEX mod), and see if that number beats anyone's reflex defense within the grenade's blast radius. Unlike 4e, you only make a single attack roll, instead of rolling separately against every target. Also, critical hits do automatically hit, but don't deal double damage for area attacks, IIRC

Don't targets in the blast radius take half damage if their Reflex is higher than the attack roll? Like other AOE attacks like autofire?

    Right?

This is why you stand right behind the guy with the grenades, on the other side of him from the baddies. That way he either a) throws the grenade specifically to hit only you, or b) hits himself with any attack that would also tag you.

    Again...experience talking here :P

Yeah Heir unless they have the evasion perk then they take 1/2 if it hits and none if it doesn't hit.

Don't worry El Skid, grenades are expensive and I'm poor.I will just have to blaster you to death. * Sigh*:?

    Quick question for you guys.

See my character sheet here: http://forums.penny-arcade.com/showthread.php?p=17448254#post17448254

My character is human...so don't I get an extra feat at 1st level right?

Edit: Oops, it seems the version I used had a bug in it that didn't recognize the extra feat. I'll update my sheet and check all the stats now that I have a book again. :)

I know this already. A part of being AWESOME is you know you're AWESOME.

Looks like the extra skill was calculated, just not the feat. Ah well. More flexibility for me!

Pretty much quoting here " Force regimens are ritualistic exercises that force-users can perm during downtime to keep themselves at peak performance. Most regimens are designed to focus on one particular aspect of the force training. The benefits last 24 hours, and only one Force regimen can be active in a 24 hour period." Tell me if you want more. Edited this out

They are pretty cool. Essentially, you make a Use the Force check to complete some fancy type of training. Depending on how you roll, you gain some pretty badass benefits for 24 hours. Bonuses to defenses and/or free talents, poison immunities, free use of farseeing, etc..

    I'll give you the titles:
    Force Regimens
    -Awaken Force Sesitivity
    -Eyes of the Force
    -Oxygen Bottle
    -Quiet the Mind
    -Telekenisis Practice

    Lightsabre Regimens:
    -Sparring Practice
    -Training Remote
    -Vorens First thru Fifth Cadence
