The AI players in melee matches don't seem as tough as they used to be. Well, they're better with units but base building has fallen. They don't seem to build any defensive structures at all. I remember I used to have to fight tooth and nail through enemy bases to get to their SCV's. The Hard Terran I played the other day sent his army to me, and my army arrived at his base at the same time, and I destroyed his command center first and he surrendered.
And watching the replay, he was saving for a second command center rather than building ANY units after his army was destroyed. No defence at all.
I dunno maybe building photon cannons and bunkers isn't the done thing these days, and they designed the AI's to reflect that.
The Reddit Invitational had a bunch of great games. Too bad the finals have had to be delayed

I thought I would try to at least beat the computer before I tried tangling with people and all their fancy build orders and micro management
Plus working out what the deal is with the new units!
If you have people to team up with then multiplayer is way less stressful.
And if you can reliably beat the computer on hard that would probably mean you're okay for silver league.
