Contracts are time-limited challenges you buy and get more CP if you finish them. "Using any combination of stats, we can make any kind of Contracts we want, and can change them at any time." Mercenary, Operations, and Specialist contracts - Contracts are going to be huge, do challenges for what type of gun you want and earn more XP and more CP! (Something like challenges)
[B]- Wager Match - a new Free for All game type. Put your COD Points against other players and the top three people get paid in the match - top 3 get paid. One in the Chamber (pistols only, one bullet, 3 lives gain ammo from kills), Gun Game (go through each weapon), Sticks and Stones (Ballistic knife, tomahawk and crossbow) Sharpshooter (everyone gets same random weapon - each kill = perk and score multiplier.)[/B]

I'm not sure if this fix has been posted yet, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I tested it myself and the difference is HUGE.
-launch blops multiplayer
-ctrl alt delete
-in your task manager, right click steam.exe and set priority to LOW
-set priority on blackopsmp.exe to HIGH
I still see people jumping around a little bit, but my PERSONAL performance is butter-smooth. It's like night and day, literally 100% better. Try it, if it works for enough people please put it in the OP.
I'm not 100% sure why this works, but there have been rumors that blops is not using video RAM effectively. If that's the case, setting the priority on the mp client higher is probably alleviating the problem at least partially by allocating a larger percentage of system RAM.

Speaking of, I've made a temporary adjustment to my emblem to represent this.
I am finding suppressed Galil + suppressor + ghost + motion sensor to be like cheating. I am enjoying it immensly.

It feels like a really big expansion pack more than a sequel to me. Granted, one I'm having fun with, but I don't people who skip it will miss much if they played other post-4 CODs.
Edit: Not to mention it's really...uncomfortable seeing how much of the game is copied and pasted (in terms of gunplay, graphics, general game design, the core of the experience basically) even after the whole Infinity Ward thing went down. I feel like these guys are just raking it in for work they didn't do. But maybe that's another discussion. Bottom line, the multiplayer still coughs up the goods but its one to skip if you feel like you don't really need more COD.

I wouldn't recommend using the Masterkey on the Commando.
For whatever reason, it has a much, much larger spread than the Masterkey on any other weapon.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing, since the larger spread can help with latency and it winds up being the exact same as the Steakhouse, instead of more accurate.
The 1911 carries an extra three rounds over the Python in any scenario, sans Akimbo (which gives it a 6 round max capacity advantage) so the difference really isn't huge on that part. Also, in hardcore, if you have to spray to kill someone, you're fucked anyways. Take your time and make that first guaranteed one hit kill count.
I know a lot of people don't care about this, but since I started playing FPSs last year I've had an atrocious KDR and almost never went positive. I've been changing up my play style and almost exclusively been playing Ground War this prestige, and I've taken it up from .73 to 1 over the last few thousand kills.
Also, am I hearing that the PSG1 doesn't completely suck now?
@blind: it's whatever. You know what I'd do for hardcore (besides not play it)? Just use a damn assault rifle.
The PSG is only not complete garbage if it has no attachments on it, but even then, it's worse than an AR. It's more fun on a map like Array, but it's still outclassed.
