I'm supposed to pick up my dog tomorrow afternoon from the kennel, and it sucks that I have no idea when 'll be able to get him.

^ This. When I got stationed in Wyoming, I was expecting winter to last 6-8 months of the year (this is what I was told was typical).
It's been in the 50's ALL FUCKING DECEMBER here. I wouldn't mind looking out my window and seeing white, but this 8-month stretch of nothing but brown is making me a little weary.

My parents moved here from Wisconsin when I was born and they can't help but regale me with stories of what an actual winter is like with all that snow and shit. I guess I would kind of enjoy the sight of snow outside but the temperate weather is just more convenient for actually doing stuff.
