I know like 3 people, whose pregnancies didn't show until they went to the doctor feeling ill and bam had a baby 2 weeks later
I get like 3 variations of that story
I've heard of these things too, and I'm confused how that happens.
I mean, how can you not notice skipping certain things? And how can you not notice your bump?
I dunno.
Seriously! I didn't think I was incredibly in tune with my body but I figured out something was off a week before my period would have been. And I was religiously taking the pill.

I know in the case of the stories I know, the girls were not showing
We they... large girls?
@Sassori: Damn, I heard people can have really bad side-effects.
My mother had 13 pregnancies and only 3 successful deliveries.
Oh, that's awful

One of my friends is a smaller girl but didn't show very much. She is medium height but has a long torso. I'm not very tall and my legs are long for my height so baby had nowhere to go but out.

I want twins. Bang out two kids in one shot and be done.
Oh man, at every ultrasound, langly hoped we would find a secret twin in there...I do not know what I would do with twins. One baby is a lot to take care of alone most of the time.

Were... were you one those people?
all 3

it's usually much lighter and not the right color but it happens
and, you know... dumb people are dumb
It does seem a tad baffling
I mean, who has morning sickness and passes it off as just feeling drained, or who dismisses a baby bump as holiday weight
Lots of people, apparently
The scariest part of these stories is what if the person was a bit of a drinker, drug user, or hot tub & roller coaster enthusiast.
Hm, that's true I forget some women can still bleed during.
But I think you summed it up pretty good... people are dumb.
so if you assume some idiot is still bleeding, doesn't get sick and maybe puts on ten pounds, it becomes less insane and more merely scary
My oldest sister's second pregnancy was similar to my mother's in that regard.
Ugh. Craziness.
My cousin turned out fine, thank god, even though his mother smoked and drinked for ages during the pregnancy because she didn't know

Maybe that's because of your technique?
You can't just go up to a woman and demand nudity.
this is scary!
going to start taking pregnancy tests every month

one who was my sisters friend is minute
Wait...You can't?!
My mother had 13 pregnancies and only 3 successful deliveries.
yes but if you claim you are from the government...
How strange!
But babies can come out pretty tiny sometimes I guess.
Oh, that's awful
"Excuse me ma'am but Im a licensed boob inspector."
Works every. time.
Aw, that is so sad.
I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable about it :shrugs:
But it's something I can't help but think about when ever the topic comes up.
I think that's how it'd be with me.
Mine had three or four failed pregnancies before she had me and my sister
I can't fathom how horrible it must be
of watching tv

They kept trying because they wanted to have a boy and already had my two older sisters.
Eventually they did manage to have one...and me.
