    Disney bought Marvel, but Universal has a license to use the Marvel characters for that part of the park. Disney buying it doesn't negate the license

    BESIDES

    Every single thing that Universal sells at Marvel Island? Disney gets a cut of that. You really think they're gonna do away with that huge cash cow just cuz it's at Universal? Hell, that's MORE reason to keep it there. Undermining the competition++

    I will correct myself a bit: It's not a huge cash cow, but when you have to put NO MONEY towards its upkeep (cuz it's at the competition's park) but you still get profit? It would be stupid to try to force them to shut it down.

    Amusement parks are like Coney Island. Rides that exist merely as rides with no story around them.

    That's why Walt built Disneyland, because he wanted to create a place that children and adults could enjoy, with stories instead of just thrill rides.

    Coney Island is getting developed on. A lot of the stuff that made it awesome is getting taken out/down and they're building apartments I believe.
