I'm so down with DMB, I downloaded each song 20 times on my iPod just to get it to come up more often in my mix. I even named my left hand Dave Mathews so when I'm jerking it in the shower I can say I stuck it in DM.

geeks, btw, are a sexy subculture and anyone who proclaims that geeks can't get action simply because they're geeky is perpetuating a stereotype to cover up his or her insecurities/laziness/fear of rejection

Well, the guy Bernie is based on made some posts here about an event at the store for anyone who wants to come, and that he'd make sure to do some extra working out and buy a new track suit. So I'll go out on a limb and say there is no real animosity there.

I dunno.. seems like most people, women, who are on the whole "geeks are sexy" tip are being PAID to say that and act like that - like Fragdolls and GameGyrrls and all the "booth babes" you see at the cons..
"TEEHEE geeks are sexy look at my boobs BUY MORE GAMES and COMICS and junk, now where's my paycheck.." Ok.. I know genuine nice "geek" girls are out there, but they are rare. Most of them... uh the attractive ones anyway, are being paid. Like most of my dates HOOOOO

This comic is totally amazing because it is so true to the real dude.

Why would anyone want to meet him? So they can see what an abusive, self-absorbed spoiled brat he is?

Or maybe its so they can pay more than retail?

    Nah.

    I like my shop.

The guys and girls working there are awesome, and normal.

I'm guessing, and this is just pure speculation here, that the depiction of Bernie in the comic is hilarious exaggeration and G&T do not actually dislike him to the extent the comic suggests, if at all. They may just be bemused by the concept of a 'jock' or 'bro' owning a tabletop gaming store. It was the kind of thing you couldn't imagine a decade or so ago.
