    Interesting! It does seem to work now though, even though it is very hit and miss. I just have to find some reliable friends as it seems Orik got fed up with me immediately. I guess I can't blame him, I was coming on too strong. Or maybe there are bad consequences of listening to peoples nightmares, I don't know.

    I think you just have to sell stuff. Later on you get items which gets you more money, but until then I guess you'll just have to scrounge pennies.

    My actions will refresh in about an hour, at which point I'm going to play the "A Little Omen" Opportunity card. Which card should I choose, SE++?
    • The crimson card: It has a luxuriant rose on the other side.
    • The turquoise card: The one with a picture of a sparkling diamond.
    • The Amber card: It bears a picture of a calmly unblinking eye.
    • The black card: On the other side is a picture of a bright-eyed raven.

    Yeah, I had my nightmares down to a 3 and then helped unburden Grey Ghost and it put me up to 4.

    A word of advice: stop listening to spooky cats!

    E: You can use "Sudden Insights" against your nightmares. Try inviting someone to a game of chess!

    You can also buy F.F. Gebrandt's Superior Laudanum in the bazaar for 80 pence that reduces nightmares (but inflicts wounds).

    My nightmares are on 4 so I'm keeping it in reserve.

    So I got a Nearly Unwrapped Cat from 2 people here.

    One resulted in a spider that hurt me and then I killed it.

    The other was a talking cat! I got 2 appalling secrets and my watchful increased.

    I got an unexpected decrease in my nightmares while on guard-duty at the observatory. It was such a peaceful night that apparently my mind was set at-ease.
