I've seen people post it here and there and then people get really angry about it. When I click the link, it's not a big deal kind of thing.
Why do people get so worked up about it?

Confusion is frequently mistaken for anger on the part of the angry.

A magician gives you a ring that, when worn, will let you see the world as it truly is.
However, the ring will never leave your finger, and you will be unable to ever describe to another living person what you see.
My brother constantly makes references to TVtropes in daily conversation.

Is it supposedly the ubiquity that makes people angry?

Because in some communities it's oft-referenced and so some reactionary mad bastards get all reactionary and mad when it crops up elsewhere
But to be fair I imagine it's really obnoxious when every discussion is awash with Capitalised Trope Titles and very little Actual Discussion

The problem with seinfeld videos is that whenever you see the thumbnail you already know all the dialogue, vaguely if not exactly.

The original script [of The Road to El Dorado] had Miguel and Tulio actually be lovers, calling each other “darling” and such. Although the idea was cut, they left in scenes where you can kinda of tell what they were pushing for. Like in the scene where they are woken up in the bed together with ruffled hair and loose clothing? And lest we forget when Tulio and Chel are making out, while they TRIED to imply at the beginning of the film that Miguel was jealous of Chel, this scene was true to the original script, but he wasn’t jealous of the female…
that was only in a super super terrible what if type thing

for some people
my personal dispositions and issues and medications make the enjoyment of sports both unlikely and inadvisable.

And you want your friends to see that you are friends with the coolest dude.
