Wasn't the purpose of Beast++ to prevent exactly that from happening?

That rank was created to minimize the damage, which it did, but we still lost a bunch of stuff.

Great job Beasts on taking down Naxx! More guild cheevos had by all.

The rundown for the next few old school Saturdays are looking like:
    March 5: MC and BWL
    March 12: ICC
    March 19: ZA
    March 26: AQ20 and 40

As per usual raids will only take off if 8 beasts are willing to go. We need at least 8 for guild cheevo.

Edit: More updates! If you are not attuned to MC or BWL or want to run BRD and UBRS for fun meet an hour before the MC raid! Anyone level 60 and above are welcome to join the raid.

If the West Coast crowd would be down. I will consider making some of the old school raids "Beasts After Dark" raids starting around 8 or 9 PST. Again only if we can get at least 8 people willing to go.

You guys still taking new members? I just resubbed after a long hiatus, and just rolled a druid on Ravenholdt named Natlek.

I also have a terribly named blood elf priest, if you guys would prefer.

Ash and I are heading to see some family on Friday, so don't expect me to be around for a week (I probably won't raid Thursday because of things like packing and cleaning). This also means we won't start Northrend with our triplets until we get back.

Just to let everyone know. The bank is still a work in progress. 3 of the tabs are looking pretty good. But it still needs some more work.

My goal is to move all old profession materials to the sharing tab to make it easier to grind out old professions and keep all current cata mats and gear in their own tabs because those are considerably more valuable.

Also eat some of the damn food in tab one. We have soooooo much of it.

Update! Almost done with the bank! Just need to fix tabs 1 and 2 and switch em around.
Tab 1 will be old profression stuff and old rep/quest items. Try to keep it clean and don't just dump random crap in there! Pretty pweeease.
Tab 2: buff food, flasks, pots, etc
Tab 3: Enchanting scrolls and repipes
Tab 4: Raw gems, ore, herbs, enchanting mats, and some volatiles!
Tab 5: Raw food, cloth, leather
    Tab 6: Glyphs,, glyphs, glyphs
    Tab 7: Gear, gear, gear

I will be putting herbs and ore in the bank from time to time as I collect it. I spend a lot of time mining during my workday and put some ore in the bank and trade some of it for herbs. Please don't take whole stacks just to grind out some flasks or whatnot. Just take a few to help supplement some farm time. I will try to refresh it often but there are a lot of people wanting that stuff to work on professions. So it at all possible try to limit to taking 5-10 at a time.

I cannot say how rated BGs are, but Whirlwind is not a bad group. There are a couple of realms that a nothing but retards (Hyjal, for example, means get ready for fail 90% of the time), but overall it's pretty good.

The server itself is rather low on the progression scale, so finding raid groups can be a bit tough. TB is often pugged and handled easily, but I've yet to join a BoT/BWD pug group so I could not say how successful they've been. In WLK I joined several really good pugs and a few absolutely atrocious ones, if that's and indication.

There are a bunch of Beasts on the proper coast.

Even slackers like Gev (Makershot) manage to show up for our raids on time now and again.

I would like to clarify our position on Rolling rules. Nominally, we've never had any official policy aside from "roll if you need it," since DKP is for chumps and having everything completely random is the only true way to be fair. It's worked out pretty good for us overall, aside from a couple of instances where one dude wins everything, but they've been rare.

But along those same lines, we've had an unspoken agreement about sharing the wealth. I say "unspoken" because we've never talked about it or made any kind of rule change, but we have had plenty of situations where two people will actually start arguing about who deserves an item more... and usually, they're arguing for the other guy.

It's been part of the guild for a long time, and I don't want us to forget about that. It won't be as easy to do right now, since we're all still covered mostly in 346-blues and most every raid drop is an upgrade for everyone, but do try. Remember that one dude getting three items isn't as helpful to the raid overall as three dudes getting one item.

It's hard to make a loot rolling rule that basically says "use your head", but I don't think we need a specific rule for it because our master looters tend to discuss it with the rollers anyway and we usually don't have problems.

A good corollary to the "just roll" rule is giving priority to the guy who's won fewer things that night.

It's cool if two people are both generous enough to fight over giving it to the other guy, but not worth holding the raid up over. Just loot it to one of them and move on.

We have discovered the secret of how to successfully down bosses.

Step 1: Have Ark accidentally mute himself for the entirety of the fight
    Step 2: ???
    Step 3: Purpz

I don't know why we never thought of this before.

The bonk was restored amazingly quickly. I have nothing but praise for the turn-around time Blizzard managed on this.

    Honestly amazing.

Also we got a GM with a sense of humour.
It has come to our attention, AGAIN, that your guild bank has had items removed without the guild's consent, AGAIN, resulting in item theft, AGAIN.

We are very happy, AGAIN, to inform you that we were able to assist your guild, AGAIN, in this particular case.

Wasn't the whole beast++ rank instituted to prevent this specific issue?

Only a handful of items were stolen, and only a few of those would we have actually noticed. Some epic pants and the VLife in the bonk would've hurt but the other things would've been mere inconveniences or just extra space for you lot to jam more useless crap in.

Alleviate, not prevent. We never wanted to make authenticator ownership a requirement for bank access, but these days it's looking mighty tempting.
