Amy Poehler wants Bill Murray to play the as-yet unseen Mayor of Pawnee.
The inimitable Amy Poehler stopped by her old SNL castmate Jimmy Fallon’s show last night to chat about everything from her hilarious NBC sitcom — EW even got a shoutout for our Parks and Rec cover! — to Will Forte’s neck beard. While there, she also revealed a tidbit of information that might just cause an Internet explosion: She wants Bill Murray to guest-star on the show as Pawnee’s much-discussed but never seen Mayor Gunderson. Because the comedy legend is notoriously elusive, Poehler took this opportunity to address him directly, saying, “Bill Murray, if you’re listening, I will pay you $250 to do one episode of my show.” Who could turn down such a generous offer?
"And when she looked on the back of her car... she saw that even though it was her own private property... she would be forced to take it in... FOR A STATE INSPECTION!"
My ONLY Parks and Rec complaint is they are really going out of their way to make April really, really, really unlikeable.
The insecure, cute, awkward, surly, bitter girl thing was fine, I liked it. And I liked that Andy just liked being around her and she liked Andy, and how she wouldn't admit it and all that.
But Andy is by far and away the nicest human being ever put on screen, and has done nothing ever to make anyone think he's even capable of a malicious thought. Even when Anne was dating him, she got tired of him acting childish and never really getting his shit together, but she was totally aware of the fact everything he did had a good intention. She even says it a bunch when they break up - that he's just a great, great guy but she can't make it work because he's too immature.
So for April to just constantly be such a bitch to him is getting kind of hard to watch. The "I Love You" thing was kind of weird - he clearly was just oblivious to it, and she acted like an ass to him and he didn't even really get it. And her this week getting all pissy when he was trying to "triangulate the signal" and was CLEARLY trying to get to her made me mad. The "Stupid boyfriend" thing made me really mad, because she wasn't laughing it off or venting because he can be dopey, she was pissed.
I dunno, it just bugs me. I feel like Andy would just kind of be like, whatever Im going to find someone cool, because she just seems like a drag most of the time now. He's clearly always trying to do everything to make her happy, and she's just being a bitch to him every time he falls short, and she should know by now 99% of the time he simply doesn't get why she'd be mad.

I think April in general has softened quite a bit since her "ironic girl dating a guy who's dating a guy" phase in the earliest episodes in the show, so I'm not really seeing the whole "she's worse than ever" thing.
I mean, she was bitchier in the camping episode, but I didn't have that big of a problem with it given the situation (maybe because I hate camping too).
The bit with Ben and Leslie at the end was fucking adorable and then Orin just made it fucking perfect. Also, put me in the "liking April" column. I enjoy where they've gone with her character and that's not just because I like snarky, constantly-annoyed girls with dark hair (see also, Daria, Darlene on Roseanne, several real women I know)
I like April MORE now, it was nice to see her be like "Ill marry him, and divorce him, and marry him again."
the tag really, really made me feel happy for them.
overall though, time will tell. I always liked the april character, I just really started to dislike how the cynical akward girl just became flat out mean and rude to a guy who was doing nothing but trying SO HARD to make her happy. More moments where she kind of cracks and shows that despite what she is saying, she's not REALLY mad at Andy, or doesnt really think he's stupid - and she gets that he's just trying real hard in his own way - will go a long way with me.

I love Ron's bizarre relationship with food, like when he gets overly excited about a breakfast buffet or storms off in a huff because there's no more bacon trail mix.
This show is awesome and everyone in this thread saying it isn't awesome totally sucks.
I hated it the first season, but finally gave in and watched season two...and ended up going through the whole season 2 and season 3 so far in the span of a few days.
I still can't figure out what exactly changed between s1 and s2, but something did, and it fucking works.

Any idea where I can get a hi-res version of this?

For me it was him sitting on the train at the end.
Also no, Six, I don't know where a high-res version of that can be found.
I saw it on the twitters.

I think this was really just a great "characters who enjoy what they do/working together" end segment.
So is most the season going to take place at the Harvest Fest? They insinuated that it was like weeks long not just a weekend fest thing.
Someone needs to make a GIF. I didn't find anything at Neogaf.
The newspaper in the beginning says a 32 page spread on the horse.

still real good
Nice to see Jean-Ralphio again. "Open with a Vince Vaughn quote" "Swingers or Wedding Crashers?" "Fred Claus"
So not only does this thing exist, but now you have deprived everyone of cake!
The opening was fantastic, though.

You missed a golden opprotunity here P&R
(Seriously though, this was a great episode. I love them showing April's softer side)
