Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Really dumb question

How in the hell do I post pictures to a post? I see the icon in the format bar, but it keeps asking for a web address. A hint of any kind would be appreciated.

You have to host any images you want to display (beyond your sig and avatar picture) somewhere on the internet. You then provide the url of where it was stored and you're good.

If you're looking for free hosting Dropbox is super easy. And free.

You need to actually have the image hosted somewhere, so sign up for a service like photobucket.com to host your images. Then you just link to the URL of your image (where it asks for a web address.)

I assume photobucket.com still works for this :).

Everyone has their personal preference, but I find the most convenient image host is Imgur.

Photobucket also will provide you with the tag structure you need for the image, so you can just copy and paste that text directly into your post rather than using the forum's interface. I assume that pretty much every other image host will do that for you as well.
