Amen on this one. Though I would almost consider getting a few of the item tattoos and just put them on random places.

I would also need to be about ten pounds lighter, four years older, and a good bit more thick in the wallet to even seriously consider a tattoo.

Another thing I've been considering for a while is getting something based on some random favorite anime of mine. The best one would probably be either some Super robot's logo (I'm thinking Gunbuster) or a Yoshitoshi Abe-influenced design. Something subtle, but emblematic of my tastes.

Every once in a while I think of some great tattoo ideas but then they purge from my memory cycle before I can properly note it.

Both my folks have tattoos.
Made me see the appeal of them. I wish I had one, but I want mine to either be really really pretty and/or having meaning. So far I haven't come up with anything.

Also fairly undecided on placement. I mean, I want to be able to cover it up, but I also want to be able to look at it.

I'll probably never get one Too indecisive.

Apparently. I guess he was out on probation and when the parole officer went to his mom's house, she had guns there, which he wasn't allowed to be in the same house with. So the guy gave him a heads up he would be arrested, and rather than accepting it, he and his girlfriend with her kid took off.

Also he tried to steal a bunch of shit from the tattoo parlor I am told. Nice guy though, did good work and gave me good deals on my tats.

He still had a bunch of stuff left to do with the background and other parts of my back piece, but oh well. It's mostly finished, and someone looking at it wouldn't know it wasn't finished.

This is where mine is. My only one, so I can't compare it to other places, but the nerve spots are so varied that it went from tickling to searing pain every few inches.

That is where a large cluster of nerve is, so it's not as pleasant a place as some, but it isn't unbearable.

I have a large field of solid color there, and it was bearable but certainly stung more than most.

I'd imagine it's not quite what you're likely looking for, but this reminded me of one of the volunteers where I work, who has a phoenix on her arm which is awesome as hell. Goes from her forearm to just about the back/side of her hand. (Which is the only downside as far as I can see, since hand tattoos are generally bad news)

Hers is obviously quite feminine, but I'd imagine something similar but more masculine could look excellent on a dude
