Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Thanks to PAX East coming up and the Pokemon league I've been hitting my DS pretty heavily. While doing so I realized how much I was enjoying playing god/sandbox style games on the system as well. I had a copy of Theme Park and Zoo Tycoon along time ago but I think traded them in. So for my birthday I grabbed Sim City Creator and Civ Revolution.
I'm really enjoying them and now I'm noticing a lot more games out there that look decent. Anyone have recommendations for DS god/sandbox or even turn based strategy titles (aside from obvious Advance Wars)?
Are there any good updated theme park sims - I LOVE building parks and decorating them? How's Populous? Is World of Zoo fun without being too kiddy? I still have some leftover birthday cash and was thinking of giving my DS some more love. Are any of the Sims games a true electronic dollhouse like their PC brethren?
I think there's an Anno game for the DS, it's about building settlements in the New World and getting a trade and production network going, you should check it out.
The sound of eight hooves reaches his ears, comes from the heavenly light, two wolves howls fills his heart with fear, and he sees two ravens fly. Down from the sky a warlord rides, like fire his one eye glows, and just before the preacher dies he knows his god is false.
