Ar Tonelico III: Knell of Ar Ciel [PS3] - they still be crazy.

Also I knew about select highlighting exits, but my problem was that the exit I needed was off-screen and I couldn't reach it because of the missing platform. So I didn't even know where to go.

Also I don't know if this has a phase 4? There's no room on the trophy list for one unless it's hidden, which is possible, because after Phase 2 Beater the endings are next on the list. If there isn't one then this will end up being the shortest AT game, because I'm only at 20 hours. I haven't gotten the third yet either, but I think I know who it is. So here's hoping.
Man...I really wish this game would have used the "Tales of" tactics system.
A "attack enemy leader isn't attacking" option would be really appreciated.
Sweet, I always love how crazy things get in Phase 4. As for tactics I would've liked an option for "Tatsumi what the FUCK are you doing holy shit back off" because oh my god. Oh my god he never gets any better. His defense is equal now to Aoto and Gojo and he still dies all the freaking time. I don't know how he does it. I mean I'm nearly dying too and I'm popping Heel a like it's candy, but Tats is just..... god.
Having to grind out that 21000 DP was really annoying and I just read that to the optimal requirement for her next one is 25000...you only need around 5000 to beat it but I don't want to.
So I thought that was more of a punishment? I didn't go all the way through on that path, but I know that doing what I did in the spoiler doesn't even reward you with any CG art. It looks like it will, but then it doesn't. You get the Hyuma either way as well from that particular scene. Do you need to do it the other way for an extra Hyuma later on in that level? My backup save is actually right before I started doing anything in phase 3, so if it's important to spend the extra DP I can always go back. About an hour and a half of my playtime was cosmosphere dialogue I'll just skip.
Edit: I mean looking at the guide on gamefaqs it just says he took the path because he had DP to burn. He doesn't say anything about getting an extra hyuma or whatnot, so I think it's just a punishment. The gamefaqs guide specifically mentions in level 4 to do the 8000 point choice but says it's optional to do the level 5 choice, so I really think it's just to screw with you for messing up and not choosing right. If it gave a hyuma or art it would be in the guide, because he always says what gives a trophy and has you do all the optional stuff. 5 seems to be an exception.
Like, for the first one, I mapped attack up to R1, because that's the first effect I want, right? So I hold R1 and shake the controller and suddenly there's a girl missing some clothes. Alright, cool.
Now I hold R2 and shake, (because I'm right handed, hurr hurr) and some more clothes come off.
But L1 and 2 do nothing. What's up with this? And yeah, I've unlocked the EX thing in both the cosmosphere and the game. So whats up with this?
...You have to have a Hyuma equipped to that level I believe.
As for the EX and multi-level stuff. You have to wait until you get the tutorial for it in-game.
Don't worry so much about purging pass level 2 until Phase 2 starts. The higher your dive level with the Revy, the easier it is to get the purge because their stuff spikes higher.
Yup, got enough hyumas, unlocked EX in the cosmosphere, I'm actually in phase 2 right now and past the correct tutorial
Is it because I havent snuck into her room and fed her enough hot dogs yet?
Hmm...I've been doing level 3s and 4s quite easily myself(well, if the enemies don't die before I get them).
Basically, the best way to get them is just timing your attacks for the high spikes on the bar.
You need around 20 or so beat ups to get to level 3 so it can take some time.
Actually, someone on GameFAQs explained a much better method of doing it than the game does.
Basically, the success rate of the double purge depends on your beat up count...higher beat up means a higher success rate.
12+ beats is pretty much 100% for double purge.
20+ beats is the same for triple purge.
So, just count them.
Nope, just one purge at a time.
Like, if she has all her clothes and I hold L1 and shake, she doesn't do anything.
Hold R1 and shake? Bam. dress flies right off.
As long as you see Purge Ready and you haven't used the same direction already...you should be good.
All I can say...is either you've got a buggy game or a fudged up controller.
Ar Tonelico 3: Knell of Double Entendres
Edit: Oh snap, did I just get past the part where you would get the bad ending? Sagroth since you just did it as well but I was a fool and did the fight on hard mode (Makes it very difficult by the way) can you tell me
I feel like this would make a great out of context sig.
Well...
and yeah...
You might be just a tiny bit further than I am but
As for the other thing cool, but now I'm not sure if that was the spot for the bad ending. Because I realized the guide would probably have said something about it. However he lists talk events that you only get if you beat the boss. But.... if you don't beat the boss then how do you proceed? Aaaaaaa whatever.
Edit: Just confirmed, Sargoth that fight is indeed the fight to determine your endings. If you fail to beat him I guess you can't get the true endings later and can only get normal or bad. If you want to make absolutely sure you won then check your talk topics. 6-2 for Finnel, and 4-4 and 6-5 for Saki are only available if you beat the boss and didn't run out of time. So if you have those in your talk topics you're golden.
well somebody better do something, I sat up all night thinking up these double entendres!

Warning about activating the Final Phase
About halfway through Phase 3 there will be a boss fight against something/someone known as M.Y.U.. This fight must be completed within 6 minutes and 40 seconds, otherwise you cannot go to the final phase in that file. You will have to start a NG+, and if you wish to redistribute your heart points the same way you must restart from the beginning of Phase 2. If your team runs away then you have failed to defeat it in time. If they do not and you stay in the location you fought the boss then you have defeated it in time and are on the path to the final phase.
And, done.
Welcome to the world on this side.
Welcome to the world on this side.
I mean I skip through it whenever I read it on the screen but damn is it annoying.
Is it the big girl? It's the big girl, isn't it. I know you want that Gilder.
Drag, was Jacqli an origin? I don't even remember anymore because its been so long since I played 1 and 2. Was she the origin for the second tower? Anyway it's pretty obvious once you see them. Like you'll think maybe it's someone else but then nope, it's definitely that one.
blaze I WISH it was Mute. She's hilarious and makes every scene great. "SHUT THE HELL UP YOU DICKNOSE!"
Also man, I really should have played AT2 again before this, because until I looked in the glossary I had forgotten who Dr. Laude was. Then I saw it and went "Ohhhhhh yeah, that guy! What a dick."
So I'm guessing the third will probably be a really strong one. Haven't met any that fit that bill but I'm only about 1/3 of the way through Act 2.
