nah if you van make use of it more power to you. i just get soured at all the assholes driving these things through city streets.

Yeah I have a fullsize Ram 1500 4x4 with the fuel-destroying 360 V8. Can't say I don't drive it through city streets (only running vehicle right now) but we also use it to haul horse supplies, house/car parts, lumber etc

Thank god for the 10 ply tires too, father in law borrowed it and put a good bit over a ton worth of crap in the bed and drove 30 miles. Even the 10 plies were stressed almost to the point of bursting

I can definitely understand the practicality of one though and have thought about putting one on mine.

The problem is that the '04 WRXs don't have a split rear seat. There's only a small pass-through to the trunk in the middle where the arm rest is. It makes carrying things like skiis, snowboards, hell...anything larger than a suitcase a bit of a pain in the ass.

WRX are not, they're still Subaru's and their owners tend to make pretty extensive use of roof-racks for gear.

I swear you could probably fit a washer in the back if you fold down the seats. I've loaded that sucker up with so much stuff. I've gotten an armchair along with a couple sets of shelves, a floor lamp, and several other things in there once when I was helping a friend unload a storage unit.

    really?

people have Porsche SUVs and the small pickup brings about penis comments?

I apologize that when I went to college I got enough scholarships to cover most of my tuition. This in turn caused my father to want to buy me a car. I did not pick this car. I am planning on selling it because I have no use for it.

I am also sorry that you have such a 5th graders view on people, their cars, and their penises.

Shit, don't apologise for being smart or having rich parents, in jest or not. There have been a lot of stupid comments made in this thread about other people's cars.

Knowing that you have no use for an SUV, and are planning to sell it, are you considering just buying a cheap runabout car and pocketing the difference? If you wanted to, you could get something super economical to do the vast majority of your driving in like a Golf diesel, and something super fast for weekend blasts at the track, like a second-hand 911.

It was awesome. This weekend I was out with a few people going shooting. So we head up into the hills. This is the first time out for my jeep since I bought it and I'm merrily bouncing through mud puddles, potholes and mud flats and having a good ole time. My other buddies were in a pretty damn new Ford escape. I look behind me and they're playing dodge ball with all the shit in the road trying not to get it dirty so they don't piss off the guys wife.

That's why I bought an old jeep right there. Dirt, mud and scrapes. Who gives a fuck?

A friend of mine is in a group of people who all went and bought early Daihatsu Ferozas and Suzuki Sierras, those baby 4WDs.

I called him a sissy lady, as it was a baby 4WD

He took me for a drive in it and it could go ANYWHERE. It was like a fucking grasshopper, nothing could stop it. Water up to the windsheild, pouring out of the vents, didn't matter, kept going.

Manufacturers later softened them up because the crowd who bought them turned out to be misinformed women, but the early ones are no holds barred 4WDs.

They were on a trail and a landcruiser went past and the owners laughed at them.
5 minutes later they found the landcruiser bogged to all shit, and he got pulled out by one of these little 4 cyl machines

My only regret for my car is I bought it off the lot in silver. If i'dve ordered it I would have got the most electric blue I could find. Ah well, all the big V8 muscle cars are getting a redesign in 2014 or so. By then I should have plenty of cash stashed up.

One of the girls from football tried to write something in the dirt on the strat once and I honestly had to strain to read it.
