Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given

I am a warrior and I love it. Huge step forward in almost every department, and I really liked the first one too.

Does it have God of War Active time events for the sex yet? That was really lacking when I accidentally triggered "Dwarf rogue rutting on the witch" in the first one.
I just noticed you playing that when I turned on my new shiny 250gb Slim 360... to put on Mickey Mouse Club for the bairn.
Is the 360 version closer to the pc one this time? I didn't like the changes between the two platforms in DA1.

light early game character speculation:
And I'm not saying the book thread gets out of hand. I mean I'm trying to think of the last time I saw an infraction in any of the reading threads. But it does happen. Nor am I saying any cards thrown in the DA thread aren't earned. I just think chat tends to have less of a population of people who game regularly and tends to mock that behavior. And chat is awful at it. The sheer number of alcohol snobs we have is silly. From my perspective it's spending a lot of money to engage in what usually a very bad idea. And getting drunk consistently is a rather degenerate behavior. The idea that people take great pride how they get to that state astounds me.
I have read the interviews.
That is certainly a post.

I can't really speak to that as I've never played the PC version of either game - but what they have done is (I think) to make the 360 one work better as a 360 game. Your button presses have a lot more immediacy and oomph to them, kind of like playing a brawler (although it's still very much an RPG).

There you go.

My options are:
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Prince of Persia: Two Thrones
God of War II
Uncharted 2
Red Dead Redemption
Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare
BioShock
BioShock 2
Sly Cooper 1
Sly Cooper 2
Sly Cooper 3
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Are there any games not on this list I should consider buying?
maybe it's because my mage is male
Have you played ME2?

I've only played Red Dead Redemption on that list but I found it to take everything I hated with the GTA series in terms of controls and fix them. And then be pretty awesome on top of it.
Uncharted, Batman or Red Dead Redemption, definitely. I haven't played either Uncharted but I hear they're swell - but of the second two, Batman I enjoyed more but is also a much shorter, more straightforward game. RDR is brilliant but huge, genuinely huge - I guess whether that's good or bad depends on how much free time you have and how many games you are dying to play.

Suprised by who posted it. But I think you make a compelling point.
I guess I don't really get what you mean with the bolded sentences
About the alcohol, we have heavy drinkers here (no surprise given that we have so many overworked college students, depressed people and so forth) and alcohol snobs/hobbyists/whatever here, but I don't think the two groups hugely overlap.

No, I was hoping to try out ME1 on Steam first.
My last two games before AC Bro was Sands of Time and God of War, so I'll put those franchises to one side and play either RDR or AA. Portal 2 remains my wild card, in that it will jump to the front of the queue as soon as I acquire it.
My post on that event:
Just over 7,000 people said they are "not attending".
But nearly 20,000 on Facebook are like sheep to a fucking slaughter. My prewife included... Ugh, I gotta teach that girl so much.
Rent is right, it's a great game. Also:
MGS 4
GTA 4
Fallout 3 and New Vegas
Oblivion
Heavy Rain
I know I'm forgetting some, but this will keep you busy for a while.
Thanks for the tips.
I played Oblivion for both PC and PS3 and I honestly preferred the PC. I would assume Fallout would be the same.
Oh, God of War 3. I forgot about that. Assuming you played the first 2.

Sorry, I'm tired, stressed and dealing with some shit. The bolded statement just comes out of a general vibe of late that "Gamers are freaks" and the general judgmental shit gets on my nerves since it's generally followed by hypocrisy. Which is normal for humans but it's the point where I start making judgments myself about people who can't maintain polite behavior, and a fool who opens his mouth.
As to the later point, I think that if I drew a venn diagram of it, there would be a bigger overlap then you'd think. But I'm not going to discuss it in detail here.
I still doubt that would lower prices. But we'll never know because that is absolutely impossible.
I use them all of the time. Nice visual representations to get salespeople a clue.

A friend of mine took his own life two days ago. I found out earlier tonight. He was one of the guys I do group with and I understand why he did it. Just have to go through the steps.
Plan C is now to do a region MRI of my abdomen, since I've had a continuous ache on one side for a bunch of weeks.
