A comic about a pair of copywriters? This is something that is of direct interest to me.

One is a cock-sure young black man out to prove himself, the other a washed up retired Canadian Mountie. They are:

So maybe I'm the only one who caught this, but wow the timing of this episode is so shitty. They were making jokes about an earthquake shaking up the PVP offices (which, yeah I get that it's a pun and Mike loves those) and then the video with that joke goes up hours after Japan is devastated by an earthquake.

Not trying to make this all Dickwolvian, but man it looks bad now (if you've been following the news, anyway)...

The editing in this episode was crap. Too many cuts, too many cuts that went into a zooming shot, the ball flying around the room was annoying, and they completely took out what was probably some really interesting brainstorming. I watch PATV for a look at the creative process as much as for the funny. I guess the editor decided I only get the funny today.

There was a picture tweeted (incidentally around the time this episode was filmed), with the whiteboard behind Straub in full view (you can kinda see it at the end of this ep). It was later cropped, but its dark secrets included a time table for things such as PATV releases, and important PAX East deadlines. Trenches Launch was on it, I want to say late to mid Feb.

    tl;dr Release probably imminent.

Do you listen to/visit Giant Bomb? You probably have a better chance of getting their flask from them since they, admittedly, have a fuckton of game-related marketing stuff that is cluttering up their office.

I agree with your points, but to be fair, I'm wondering if Scott asked them to cut out a lot of brainstorming. He seemed very uncomfortable doing creative work on camera. I was surprised as it is that they left in him practically bashing PvP and its fanbase.

His mother probably doesn't go to PA unless there's a Blam.

This episode did seem a little off editing-wise, swinging back and forth with the ball, etc.

Personally, I really enjoyed the hell out of this episode. I'm always fascinated by the creative process, and this is one of the best examples of their process, especially combined with Kris and Scott. Seeing how Scott's process is beginning to evolve is particularly fascinating to me.

I see M*A*S*H pop up far more often in reruns than Night Court and Perfect Strangers these days. M*A*S*H shows up on TV Land and on our local Fox affiliate (I think they use it to pad out sporting events that don't go into overtime), but the other two apparently aren't airing at all in this market.

Netflix has them, but DVD-only, no streaming.

Years ago, when all they had for original series was stuff like Son of the Beach and before the syndication of Two and a Half Men, FX was practically a 24-hour M*A*S*H rerun channel.

Anyone else notice the M4 Carbine leaning against the table?
This really makes me wonder which of the PA team are into airsoft, which I love. Playing tactical skirmishes with realistic imitation weaponry is a bit geeky, so I can totally see them doing it :P

On the other hand I was under the impression that imitation firearms stateside legally had to have an orange tip to distinguish them from the real deal, so maybe Mike or Jerry is just packing heat.

A lot of airsoft enthusiasts here (probably most of the really dedicated ones) get rid of the orange tip because they only use their guns on designated, private property, playing fields away from the view of passerby who might get freaked out.

I believe that technically the orange tip is required under certain circumstances, such as transporting the gun across state lines, but these things rarely end up being enforced.

Because Perfect Strangers was on TGIF from 1988-1992 but Family Matters lasted from 1989-1997. Family Matters aired for twice as long and was airing more recently.
