I totally forgot about Rapunzel being Disney. I heard Tangled was great but thought it too odd to see solo or with my lurker bro.

"I bet Jerry Seinfeld has a ton of jokes about the quake and the tsunami up on his Twitter feed, but every time he posts, "So what's the deal with this Daiichi nuclear reactor venting explosive hydrogen?" everyone assumes that it's a serious question."

Is that the joke that got gottfried fired?

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
So, apparently I'll watch Battle: LA tonight.
That's the second movie I'll watch I'm the US.
I advise against it; I read a pretty shitty review.
The reviews seem mixed. Some people enjoyed it, others seem to loathe it. Fluffy didn't care for it, and he seems versed on how to enjoy an action film.
I dunno fluffy didn't like the Losers, I'm torn on his opinions.
He probably also doesn't like Hudson Hawk, the commie bastard.
I appreciated it more the second time, but it still didn't thrill me. Didn't help that it came out around the same time as the A-Team, which was a superior action team flick.

In like 3 pages Thanatos will start calling people who think Belle is a princess part of the problem and Carrot will accuse people of not being real princess fans.

Why not a better movie?
March, that's why
Good point. Drive Angry 3D was fun (I wanted more, but whatevs), The Company Men was good but definitely not fun... verdict's still out on Unknown and I Am Number Four.

Gottfried got fired for something like "Japan is so advanced, they don't go to the beach, the beach comes to them" and one other that wasn't very good.

Unknown I'm sure will be fun if you liked Taken. I Am Number 4 requires no deliberation if you've seen the trailers.
Jan/Feb/March is by and large the dumping ground. I have a $25 AMC gift card and two free gold passes and theres just absolutely nothing I want to waste them on.

The local AMC had every Best Picture Nom except Winter's Bone, and I was hoping to check out the ones I hadn't seen yet this week or next. But now those ones are gone, and the five that remain I've already seen. Bleh.
“Come at me bro” is a confrontational catchphrase used to instigate a fight with another person. It’s typically used to convey that one will not physically initiate fight, but is willing to fight if the situation arises.
In image macro form, the text is overlaid on an picture where the subject is making an aggressive posture, usually with arms spread out to each side.
Origin
The phrase was popularized by Ronnie from Episode 6, Season 1 of MTV reality series Jersey Shore, during which he engages in a physical scuffle with a person on the boardwalk at Seaside Heights, NJ:
This show on the pbs website about "King Solomons Mines" was pretty good. The first few minutes have a lot of rather overblown rhetoric but it gets down to business pretty quickly and the bulk of it was very interesting. Especially the very good archeology being done in the copper-smelting site they talk about. The way the slag heaps on the site were preserved are a just about ideal situation for accurate carbon-dating.
There was one section where bad editing gave the impression for a few minutes that they were giving factually false info but I think I know what happened there. They spliced in one expert talking about the copping-mining operations during the mid 1st milenium BCE with another expert talking about the very beginings of the site back in the bronze age. So the show gave the impression that people were using camels to transport loads of copper ore around 2000 BCE which is of course absurd. Camels were not used in such a fashion until the mid 1st milenium BCE (which is one of very very many things that the Bible gets completely wrong when writing about ages past, any section where any patriarch or moses uses a camel was completely made up during exilic times because they did not realize how recent that innovation was).

I think this is the problem that many people had with it.
It was fun, and that was pretty much all I expected of it.

Don't remember what it was, but it was about his death and it was pretty funny, and no worse than some of the stuff Giraldo himself came out with.
I'm sure at least one of you could guess what I did word for word.
i laughed when he told it
i laughed harder when he told the aristocrats immediately after to placate the booing crowd
Gottfried got fired from Aflac for his tsunami tweets. All 2 of them.
Turns out Aflac is the largest insurance provider in japan (I don't know if that's health/life/home/overall or what)
Losers was... uneven.
Me too. It was a dumb, but fun movie.

Wow. Hah.
More or less the last day. Tomorrow will be "packing and waiting" day.
Boo this man.
Winter's Bone was easily in the top 5 movies this past year.
