Jintor does bring up a good point, making shaped pasta is a bit more involved and is a bit easy to fuck up. that said, I would say that home-made fettuccini/ravioli/gnocchi or some other simple style is so simple and tasty, I wouldn't worry too much about trying to make fancy styles.

I should note that the texture between home-made and packet pasta is pretty different and you'll generally find that your sauces will stick better to home-made pasta and therefore you wouldn't really need spirals to hold onto the sauce, YMMV.

It's also a sure-fire way to impress dinner guests if you can whip out some homemade pasta

I think maybe I didn't use enough flour or something, because the strands of pasta stuck together and when they were cooked they ended up being hideous round tentacle monsters that weren't cooked in the middle.

One of the best pasta meals I ever had was when I went to a mate's place and we made basil and macadamia pesto with linguine all made completely from scratch

macadamias and basil from his back yard, home made pasta, parma regiano

jesus christ it was good.

We also made a 4 cheeses and honey pizza.

4 cheese and honey sounds like it'd be pretty good! I've had 3 cheese and pear, which is the same basic concept of mix cheese variety offset by the sweet pear, so I reckon 4 cheese and honey would be aces

I feel like getting drunk and making tacos so that's gonna be my plan. I'll make tacos enough for everyone but you'd have to bring your own booze. There is also a little video game set up with rock band and castle crashers and tekken and some other fun stuff and a bunch of DVD movie films and we could play board games I don't know

I go skating on Saturday afternoons so I was thinking arrivals around 5-6 would be ideal?
