Pretty sure the whole copy paste thing is the whole gag. They are in literally the exact same situation in 15 to 20 years.

    yes, this exactly

Hate to admit it but I'll be paying to see the flicks again in the theater. The last time they were out was around my college years. I now have a 6 year old son, so it's perfect timing to bring him to see them on the big screen. I think that's kind of what they're counting on - that we're on the next generation who should see them in theaters for the first time. The 3D part is just secondary to me.

Which do you find yourself watching more?

I'm not a big SW fan, so don't think I'll be getting anything else. Honestly might get the cartoons - Genndy's first, then the current one if I catch it on some super sale or something.

Jordyn's older brother got us RotJ on DVD for Christmas a few years back. That's the only one we own at this point.

I do, however, own a shit-ton of Start Wars books.

The only Star Wars thing I ever watched was like 10 minutes of the one were a little kid enters some kind of race or something and countless parodies of the Darth Vader wail

But when I was little my dad got me tons of those fastfood drinks with the character's heads as covers and that owned!

I'll probably rebuy the whole thing on blu-ray whenever that happens

and I'll probably go see at least Phantom in 3d, since I never saw that one in theaters and hey, podrace scene

I only ever had Star Wars Recorded from SciFi network.

Enemy Mine was on the cassette before A New Hope.

Had to watch it every time.

We had a VHS recording of this 1989 RotJ airing

Exact same broadcast, KGW channel 8 in Portland. I watched and rewatched that tape dozens of times before I'd even seen Empire Strikes Back, and didn't see the original Star Wars very often in the 80s.

Enemy Mine is one of my dad's favorite movies. He'd rather watch that than Star Wars.

VisionofClarity has only seen like a third of one of the Ewok movies and has pieced together the rest of the trilogy from Spaceballs and other parodies. It's not that she doesn't think she'll like them, it's just that she knows they won't live up to the hype and she feels like she got 26 years without seeing them and sees that as a streak she'd rather not break.
