Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

[D&D 4e] If we kill them, we can take their stuff (Recruiting)

If you've come here looking for some quotes set in an 'epic' prose, or a fantasy themed image in the center of the screen, I'm sorry to say that you've clicked the wrong link. It's fine, really. Don't feel bad, just click the breadcrumb on the top left of the page labeled 'Critical Failures' and you can forget you were ever here.

However, if you find druid necromancers, carnivorous half-elfs, heretical societies, and an overabundance of magical items on corpses to be appealing, then stay as I record the woeful steps of the adventurers that encounter them.

My name is Carnarvon, and it is my sad duty to DM this tale.

Now, however, let us get to business.

I'm looking for four to six players for a 4th edition game to play over Maptool aiming for four hour sessions. Day/time has not yet been decided, but I can do any time other than Wednesday and Sunday, and not before 6pm EST. Post what times you can be available to and from with your character.

You'll be starting at level 1, using standard character creation. No backgrounds. No Psionics(this isn't about balance, I just don't like them; the rest of the PHB3 is fine)

You can use whatever books that float your boat, but know that the last time I played 4e, Martial Power 2 had just come out. Essentials classes are out, because they confuse and anger me.

"Kill on sight" races like Drow and Orcs are out, but other monster races are up for approval.

The setting is your standard fare high fantasy using the PHB gods.

Preference will be given to players who can dedicate to 4 hours each session, and those who don't take forever to finish their turn in combat.

I figure we'll start in a week or two, so I'll put the deadline on the 13th, 8PM EST.
