Doesn't that just mean you'll be able to play it the same time all of the console people do?
With steam you have to download and then install before you can play... where as with console you just pop it in and go.
Think they're just removing that step..

If you preload it you'll be able to play it as soon as they turn on the flag to let you on the 19th. I think the contention is the console versions aren't hitting stores on the 19th.

I find it hard to believe that Valve would make people who bought Portal 2 buy something else to play Portal 2, even if its playing Portal 2 early. I hope they wouldn't do that.
